Is he the first USports player to commit to NCAA since the rule change?
I believe so, although he has never actually played a game of USports hockey….
Anyone know if he is hurt ? If not I assume he was sitting out pending the rule change to see if he got an American offer.

SFX has 7 other D-men, who have all played.

Question?
Are you guys suggesting that if a first year Usports’s hockey athlete plays a league game in USports he is not eligible to take advantage of this CHL/NCAA agreement?…..

Nice, but what has BG ever won since 1984?
I don't see your point exactly. While you are right, I don't think it applies to my point, in that Dennis Williams coached in the Dub for a long time, knows the player pool better than anyone in the NCAA, and will get a lot of good commits. Will probably turn Bowling Green around from CCHA doormat back to respectability.

As I've mentioned in other threads, Dennis Williams is going to clean up on overlooked Dub guys
Well he's come out swinging with 7 CHL players! Obviously, his background in the CHL is a huge benifit. Sloan, Steinman and Crampton head the CHL'ers for potential impact for Bowling Green.

Apparently Brett Hyland UofA is going NCAA next year.
That move makes a lot of sense for a guy like him IMO. Recent draft pick who probably still has hopes to play a high level of professional hockey. He has 26 points in 16 games this year so maybe a little “too good” for U Sports…this will allow him to play at a higher level without the ECHL lifestyle (or constant back and forth between the ECHL and AHL).

Basically what I expect most of the higher end overagers to do in the summer…choose the NCAA over ECHL. Hyland is just squeezing a year of U Sports in there.

I would put Reynolds in a similar category. 30 points in 21 games.
