I dunno. 45 predators (well, not the buffalo, but they're aggressive prey) in an enclosed arena, all (presumably) bent on attacking you specifically, I don't think the hunter can kill fast enough to fend off that amount, even with the rats acting as distraction
have you ever used a semi automatic rifle (FA is useless by the way, mostly, unless youre suppressing something) with a decent fast acquisition optic like an ACOG TA01? Are you trained in that? Granted the large animals, would be problematic for 5.56, but that's why they make creedmor. Or 7.62 NATO, etc. It never specified the caliber or rifle type.

I have not. Have you ever faced 15 wolves, 5 gorillas, etc, attacking simultaneously, focused on killing you specifically? Presumably not. That's why this is a hypothetical situation. You can believe that the rats will distract the animals long enough for the hunter to kill them. I can believe otherwise.

Does a couple hundred Skinnies hopped up on whacky chew and armed with AK's count? I mean they were pretty intent on killing us.
Also the bears are going to haul ass at the first shot. Cats probably too. Buffalo are dumb, and gorillas DGAF about the shots from what I've seen on videos. Wolves probably haul ass at the first supersonic crack as well. Birds tend to scatter when you shoot. Unless of course you've gun dog trained everything.

Again, we're under the assumption that they've been trained to attack you. If we're expecting them to act like normal animals, then they're going to attack each other before they even think about focusing on you. And 10,000 rats wouldn't even think about approaching the larger creatures, but would likely flee than attempt to defend you.

Woah woah woah, they've been trained to attack you but the 10,000 rats haven't been trained to defend you??? What kind of double standard is that?

Nah, you misunderstood. If we're expecting them to act like normal animals, THEN the 10,000 rats would flee and not defend you.

This rings true to me. College hoops brings out the noise even in neutral sites.

I'd say it has more to do with college hoops having a large number of non-conference games and the "power conference" teams always padding their home schedules with a couple hundred available cupcakes that use those self-sacrifice games to fund their programs. And those cupcakes pad their home non-conference schedules with even lower tiered teams. Enough schedule padding skews the numbers. Harder to do in football, with less available cupcakes to go around.

I'll jump in on this. Been reading you guys takes and following along. I think you are selling the Gorillas short. As the most intelligent animal on that list beside the humans I think they could come up with a strategy or at least be trained with one where they could do a pretty damn good job of protecting you. Also the Eastern Lowland Gorillas are pretty damn strong.

Give them the 7.62 you've taken from the dead hunter and you've got a thing going.

yall are missing the point. The rats are there to cause chaos while the rifleman snipes off threats in order.
Perhaps the rats and something like a Rock Island VR80 with slugs and OO buckshot . Gonna have to deal with the gators and the birds.

Those guys would be tough to deal with but full grown gators are nasty too. Rats might have an easier time with the big monkeys.
