Local example of bad access to timely care:
Los Angeles County said a 17-year-old was the youngest US victim of COVID-19. Then it backtracked on the diagnosis.
Awful. It's exactly what the study was talking about in saying the US lags all other high-income nations in terms of access to health care, and this crisis is going to amplify that stark reality at the cost of people's lives.
I know trending towards politics gets posts taken down around here, but history will not look kindly on a country with so much money and still so many without access to basic healthcare.
