I doubt 'stability' is the reason they are delaying. They simply want who they want.

I do wonder how they plan to handle the draft and the trade deadline without a GM. Are all GM responsibilities on hold?

Also the biggest problem with this loser team is not even DJ, but the soft as a baby shit Ottawa sports media. All Bruce/Gord/Dean = all should never ever open their ass licking holes on Sens. Enough of this shit! When media is selling the fan base for charter flights, club meals and pay checks.

I thought only Dean and Gord fly with the team. Media isn’t allowed anymore I thought,

My favourite soccer team hired my favourite soccer player as a coach (a club legend, very comparable to Alfie) while they were shit and wanted a bit of stability. He didn't have much coaching experience and the team sucked under him. The fans turned on him, despite him having god like status there. Never would I want that again to any of my teams.

I see it the same way. I wouldn't hire Alfredsson to coach in part for the reason you outline with the soccer team.
I agree that delay in getting a competent coach is costing the team more than just this season. At some point, I fear, key players are going to want out.
