7 years from hell from this guy from the bus stop. I understand there is no college system to learn how to coach the major leagues. But it should be. Fundamentals should be there. You need a college degree to teach physical education in Canada in schools, but nothing to be a major league coaches or any minor leagues coach for this matter. There is no personal development for coaches from the league. So if you are stupid enough and spend 7 years as a head coach in NHL and did not develop yourself to at least an average NHL coach, you hold the whole city as a hostage and a billion dollars investors. You need to score at least B in those categories. But better to ace it.
-video coaching and to hire not buddies but talented video coaches
- learn accountability and responsibility
- learn how to implement corrective actions
-do not let players police themselves they do not paid for this - do not relegate responsibilities
-learn how to adjust during games
-learning how to assess the talent
-borrowing the working system from other coaches
-need an intelligence development team at least three assistants
-better physical and conditional development assistants
-white board and video sessions
-learning how to deliver the tough message on every day bases and during the game and how to use corrective actions to the benefit of the team.
Who hired this bum? He possesses nothing of the above!
