A venue adjustment can mean two things. First, it can just mean taking into account home and away teams. Second, and the way I believe it is being used in the graphic, it can mean trying to adjust for scorekeeper bias. There is evidence to suggest that scorekeepers have a bias when it comes to reporting shot distances. The evidence can be seen through looking at home/away shot distance splits, variance within home/away shot distance splits across the entire league, and looking at model results that do not properly account for scorekeeper bias.

How much rope does DJ have? Way to friggin much. He's hanging the whole team, not just himself. We need a coach that can teach this young team defense. He should have been gone with Dorion. This is so frustrating. I don't know what management is waiting for. If they finally do get a new coach, by now it may be to late to turn things around, even if he doesn't manage it. We are way to far into the rebuild for this and I worry that if our young players aren't taught defensive play properly soon, the bad habits will be too ingrained to break.
