Nylander was still ducking hits, even to the point of taking a delay of game himself rather than absorb a hit. You throw him onto Matthews line, he doesn’t automatically expose the Danault line, that 3 NHL teams couldn’t expose. Lol. It wasn’t going to be frigging Nylander of all people who was gonna do what Mark Stone couldn’t do.

It’s like accepting Matthews gutless performance because he was marginally more involved than Marner.

Actually providing Matthews with a 2nd shooting threat on his line probably leads to more goals for both players. Everyone on the ice was reading Matthews shot the entire series. Price had the luxury of coming right out of the crease it’s not like anyone else would be a threat to score

With Nylander taking Hymans place they could have been better. Nylander instead of Marner could even been better for that stretch. But probably not for the long run. Nylander was hot. Always use hot players as much as possible. Hate it when coaches are on ignore and dont adjust.

that delay of game was atrocious I missed it live and never saw it, it looks like 20 seconds into the pp. he must have had a 2 min high octane shift before that pp surely to be that tired and lazy

They will not say anything because thats how it should be. But i think Nylander will have 3 points at least and probably 2 of them will be goals . Could be more goals then Marner , even if Marner get 7 points. If im wrong i wont cry. We all want Marner to do better in the playoffs.
