How many first round loses is Dubas allowed before he should be fired?

Then what would you call them?

You would think that after 6 consectutive 1st round exits (4 under Dubas tenure) that there would be a bit more criticism his way.
 
Lucky for Shanny/Dubas the teams ownership is controlled by Rogers/Bell and these corps move at a glacial pace when making changes,

He has on this board, in the media, at the local watering hole. The guy is not perfect except to the Dubites and members of the Dubas cult - all of which are fictional anyway. Besides, there is nothing wrong with getting respect as long as it is understood that winning is the goal.
 
Boston has one first round exit and fires their coach.

You can see the difference in organizational cultures and what they are willing to accept in terms of results.

For me Keefe has to take a lot of it.
Maybe too much focus on winning in the regular season and not enough on preparation, but injuries hit them pretty hard this year.

He’s a trash coach.

He’s protected purely because he’s the GMs best friend.

Nepotism at it’s finest - and grounds for firing Dubas as well.

Good, so here a blame Keefe post.

I support this post, and I don't have any personal feelings for or against Keefe.

I'm all in on Trotz, and would love to see him pull the plug on playing for personal points.

He did kind of dodge the bullet this year IMO. A lot less vitriol in spite of the same result and a lot of the sports network guys were pretty easy on him too. That is perhaps the difference between a loss to the defending champs vs 18th place Habs. You can either look at the cumulative losses which the haters do, or key on the fact that its different lineups each year and a different coach the last few so not the same repeating failure, which many Dubophiles grab on to.

I bashed hard at first but lost interest in the negativity once it became clear things weren't going to be changing with the management. What is the point? Has he made any new mistakes since game 7? Its like the dump Tavares even though its impossible movement. How is more complaining going to change his contract?

Most of us will be back on the bitch train once we decide the GM hasn't learned from his mistakes but right now I just want to see what he is going to do to retool. I am really looking forward to seeing what he does with his goalies, Kerfoot, Holl, Bush, Mik, Engvall, new Russian FAs. Eventually we have to let go of year one. He has made some good moves after some early stumbles and there will be trades, a goalie signing, FA action, and the draft. At least one player we are writing off will have a big comeback year and mid season we will have a top 5ish club.

I'm not saying give in to the dark side but the next reasonable chance to complain is somewhere around training camp. Judge the GM on the next deal he does and lambaste him accordingly. He can't have infinite lives, right? Or can he?
 
Boston just fired their head coach after they lost in the first round yet our guy after 2 years of first round failure is going to stumble us into the next year…….no wonder we have no success

I have come to accept the fact that this organization is not serious about winning anything.

Cassidy has been with Boston for 6 years. By that timeline, Keefe would be here 3 more years.

And that's not even counting that the bigger reason he got fired is probably that they're entering a different phase with Bergeron potentially retiring and a bunch of injuries to start next year.
