Not surprised. I noticed about 6 -7 games ago that although the wins were piling up our play had not been on par. They began developing bad habits and sloppy play crept in. I didn't comment at the time because I didn't want to be Debbie Downer. These things tend to happen through the course of a season so no big deal but I'm sure the coaching staff could see it.
Hopefully the new blood will spark some intensity back into their blood ( especially with Willie coming back too)
I know everyone is enamored with Galy but he isn't the end all be all. Stone hands unfortunately like many Leafs too numerous to count. Muz on the point for the PP was a colossal fail. He handles the puck like a grenade.
Him and Holl haven't been their optimal selves lately, I'm thinking they are getting a bit tired. Enter Sutton and maybe Lilly for a game here and there.
Calgary deserved to win this game and the slow starts are creeping back into their game. Get some rest and regroup!

You echo my thought's exactly.

Our 2nd,3rd and 4th lines need to take the body more... this team is so soft... it is unreasonable for Matthews to take a hit to make a play... it just shouldn't be this way... and if one of our top guys get a hit, than I expect a big hit and the offender next shift... I loved Sabourin's debut tonight! He f***ed up Lucic MAN!!!! like.... yeah! what a great first appearance!!!!! I broke both of my wrists twice, so I know Simmonds wants to help out in the regard, but trust me.. once that cast comes off, you just don't feel confident punching someone for a LONG time... he may never get into a fight for the rest of the season, because I have ' been there, done that' with my wrists and I know how it feels after getting that cast off. Judging on his break if it was just a fracture or break that is!

I won’t get into it as I have in the past here , but I totally understand what your saying Brotha , totally ...
I was a 3rd 4th liner on the ice
 
In my opinion simmonds has lost his job. If you need toughness clearly Saboruin is better option and he's willing to hit

If you need skills we'll Robertsson or even Anderson is a good option


There's absolutely no need for him. He has been given every opportunity with Matthews Tavares and on PP

On that note. I like Saboruin

Feels like we have been outplayed for quite some time but have won the game by turning it on for 15 minutes. I might be wrong (I havent been able to catch alot of games). How many games did we come from behind and win recently?

It's definitely been awhile since they played a full 60 minutes.
 
JT has played some of his best hockey since being paired between two grinders. Less pressure to be Nylanders defensive conscience while focusing more on offence.
Time to shuffle the lines up once Foligno steps in.

This team is tired. 11 games in 17 days.

If they were mentally weak they wouldn't be first in the division by a mile. They would be more like the Habs.
