Draisaitl is clearly injured. Hope at some point we can rest him.
Drai is clearly not injured.. stop making excuses for him... He has been like this for 5 yrs now but usually ends up with multi points... Got one tonight so he probably feels he did his job tonight

Reminder: Holland willingly and knowingly entered this season with the cap structure the way it is and decided that he would run a short roster for all 82 games in the season. That alone is reason enough for firing, let alone the complete lack of improvement the roster has seen during his tenure. Besides the players he's bought, he hasn't made one trade to improve the team or bring in a top 4 d-man or top 6 winger. 4 f***ing years and he hasn't done this!!!!!

The Oilers team needs are still the exact same as when Holland was hired!

The OT strategy needs to change. Go with Mcdavid and Hyman, follow with Nuge and Drai. Or swap it, but the McDrai magic is over, you could give them a shot late if things line up. The 3x3 has been effectively killed as teams just playa soccer possession game for as long as they can.

Because the Dumb coach was hoping for a drama first game back by Yamo instead of thinking of the odds of using a much better skilled player for the win
Hyman is 0-1 in shootouts in his entire career...

Yeah if Desharnais is playing I think we win this game.

These defensemen can’t handle more minutes. Desharnais eating 15 minutes of ice time is actually critical for this roster. Holland built the defense like a house of cards. We basically have to play 11-7 otherwise we can’t win.

But because he’s dithering on Pulju we can’t even f***ing dress our best actual defender making less than 1M.

WTAF. GTFO.
He averages 12 minutes a game mostly against bottom competition.

Islands in the stream.
We have exactly 20 guys and Kostin got sick at the last minute.
Not sure how last minute it was. Novovirus is circling around something fierce right now. Would bet thats the affliction that has been hitting players. Drai, Skinner, Desharnais, Pulju, forget who else have been sick on the team recently. Given that Novo is really spiralling right now its probably what it is. Hits quick and and you're on the toilet for around 48hrs.

Ryan actually had a good shootout attempt. He's surprisingly good on this kind of play and better hands than given credit for. Ryan does have 10G this season so he is an unlikely scorer on this club, only bottomsix guy that notches that many. The guy has hands. I've been watching him since his Golden Bears days.
He does have good moves and a vets saavy, which is why I was shocked Woodcroft actually did the right thing and put him in for once.

You can trade for either any time now you useless f***ing GM.
He has no cap to work with. We can’t even ice a full roster.

I do agree that Ryan's attempt was one of the better ones. McDavid, Drai and Yamamoto threw their chances away.

Sold rebuttal.

How did you get that from my comment?

You just clearly dont understand how sheltered VD has been.

He is terrible against elites.
Obviously he’s sheltered, it’s crazy how people fail to grasp the concept of hyperbole. You must be fun at parties lmao

Again keep worshipping Holland. Every D man on this team is terrible against elitea

Could be lots going around. Me and my father both had a cold that lasted about 24 days recently. All kinds of weird sicknesses floating around right now.

Exactly, they aren’t thinking about hey maybe we should treat this point as precious and we need it, he’s like let’s have a nice Disney comeback moment here and get Yamo going. Coachint and playing with some semblance of killer instinct would be refreshing

Dissapointing that they couldnt close it off.

Only reason they even got a point was because of Campbell.

Rangers are a good team. I thought the Rangers looked better pretty much the entire game. Oilers were opportunistic and got up 4-1. But just played too loose and sloppy.

PK was atrocious all night. VD probably would of helped. This team is terrible on face off plays. Felt like Rangers had so many chances off of face offs. Seems to be a trend with this team.

I do worry about the Oilers lack of chemistry on their lines.

Oh well. Take the point and move on.
