You can imagine what I was thinking on that one. It was f***, f***, f***...

What a pathetic performance by the oil. Pretty much gifted puck luck in first period and stake out 4-1 lead as nearly everything is going in. Then they do nothing the rest of the game and watch the RAngers come back. Fortunate to even get a point in this one. SOG 11-1 at one point in 3rd period with game on the line.

The Oilers only got a point because of Jack Campbell.

The rest were part of the problem.

If he makes the team worse, he can take a hike
agreed, he can. However is like worrying about the straw on the camels back instead of the 500lb deadweights that are stuck to it

This team has bigger problems, Puljujarvi problem can be fixed as simply as waiving him or trading for future considerations at this point

Let's see if McDavid can get somewhat close to 150 points. At least that's something to cheer about because this team just isn't good enough. IE they can't afford to take nights off. Not with their lack of depth and awful defense. lol

Yeah if Desharnais is playing I think we win this game.

These defensemen can’t handle more minutes. Desharnais eating 15 minutes of ice time is actually critical for this roster. Holland built the defense like a house of cards. We basically have to play 11-7 otherwise we can’t win.

But because he’s dithering on Pulju we can’t even f***ing dress our best actual defender making less than 1M.

WTAF. GTFO.

Hate to say it but we need to practice the shootout. We have two people that can score.

Got a point. Rags are a top tier team. Didn’t think they were going to go away quietly.

Still though the garbage defensive play was a point pissed away. Woody and the whole coaching staff just are not very good. They’ve lost the script
Correction. One. If we had two we wouldn't have lost every one this season.

Imagine f***king up the cap situation so bad that we need to send down NHL calibre players to make it work. And one of our guys got sick so we played short a man all night.

Drai is really starting to piss me off. He can still put up points in his kill zone but other than that a total liability. Woody needs to grow a set and address this Drai situation somehow. Limit his ice time. Let him know the team is not impressed with his effort and just basic hockey sense. Who the f**k misses a slap shot in a shootout. What a joke.

McDrai in the OT is NOT working so please stop it. Drai should probably not even be on the ice in OT to be honest.

And why the hell are we always shooting first in the shootout. Do any other teams do that or just us.

Fantastic game. Rangers took this game over with much better, faster puck transition game and took advantage of lots of high quality ice given up by the Oilers. First game of the benchmark weekend competition reveals there is work to be done to compete with elite teams. Campbell kept the Oil in it but the Rangers elite #1 went into terminator mode.

Draisaitl the finishing winger is elite. But was challenged tonight in driving the second line from the centre position. 47% in the dot. Brutal shootout attempt. Not burying the guy, just too many minutes tonight. Next OT I would look at new lines McDavid/Nugent Hopkins and then roll out Draisaitl/Hyman. The stack is not working.

This game was ripped away from the Oilers by a team that skates better and moves it so quickly from a big, mobile defense corp. I can't be mad because if I look at this objectively I think the best team (tonight anyways) got the W.
Draisaitl is clearly injured. Hope at some point we can rest him.

We need Jim Matheson vs Draisaitl redux, only this time I will side with JM. Draisaitl has been a f***ing joke this year, he's either playing injured or completely does not give a f*** anymore. It's pathetic seeing him coast around the ice and force the same f***ing risky plays every gagame.

I can get behind he injured. But the reality is that he not good enough to be on the top 6 with thoses kind of performance.

Rest him if there is something or bench if he just lasy. This is completely unacceptable.

Draisaitl has the stamina of a 17 year old basset hound. Lazy and slow. Time for him to get some rest.
He does not look good of late. A couple of years ago, the Oilers would win pretty much every game in OT because Draisaitl and McDavid were unstoppable 3 on 3. Now they lose either in OT or, more commonly, in the shootout.
