Campbell blaming himself for any lapses in an overall great performance and a win is infinitely more refreshing than the other guy throwing the team under the bus for his awful play and a loss. I can only imagine how the players feel

When the big boys start scoring, and they will, this team is gonna take off. I think Matthews will be fine. His game is just a little off right now. With any luck he could have scored 5 goals in the past few games. A bad decision by Campbell on the Sens first goal. Or maybe it was just bad communication. Either way we can't be giving up goals like that. A bigger test coming up on Saturday. I think we're ready to put the Oilers back in their place.

Terrifies me just a little bit hearing this given it was two miscues tonight and the reputation on his early career failure was trying too hard.

Let's hope he's over those mental hurdles and finding balances. His actual play looks like he has, so far, and he bounced back on both goals to not break

2 games in 10 days dont help. we played well i think, we deserved the win and got it. was an important one too following up the calgary game.

Extremely important two points indeed. But you do have a point, 2 games in 10 days kinda kills the momentum. But in all honesty..... playing the 3rd worst team in the league, and they played last night, I thought this game was going to be a blowout for the Buds. GLG!

What’s left of the Andersen fan club may roast you over calling Campbell’s mistakes “bad breaks” instead of “weak goals”, but he simply has a lot more leash at this point than Andy, and he still made key saves.

I think we'll need both going tbh. I'm praying this time off wakes Freddie up, he heals up a bit and can re-ignite some steady play so they can rest Campbell too. Both goalies are fragile so hopefully they're managed carefully especially with how important the goaltender position is.

The bad news. Campbell made a couple pretty bad mistakes that led to goals.

The good news. Campbell didn't fold after those bad goals and kept battling and made some saves that helped keep his team in the game that eventually allowed them to win it.

If Andersen is in net after letting in a bad goal or two, I don't know if he could've done the same. Still on Team Campbell.

lol.. agreed! I don't understand why the Leaf's have such a hard time against the Sens, they do play a good defensive game and don't give us many good looks, for a team so low in the rankings, this baffles me! lol
