When u dont shorten the bench and play your fourth line over the core lines. U send the message that you are more afraid of loosing then eager to win. Biggest fault IMO.
It can take about 3sec to get a scoring chance.
With that mindset 20min is a lot of time, If u stack lines and shorten the bench and dont help the opposing team killing that valuable time with your 4th line...

That Holl-Gio pairing is bloody diabolical. I know it worked during the regular season, but it's time to cut losses and change it up. It's not all their fault (some bad goaltending, some bad luck) but the stats just say -- this ain't working. Personally, I'd bring in Lilly to replace Holl. I've noticed Holls ice time diminishing by the game which suggests that perhaps Keefe will just sit him out the next game.

For the first time in the series, Knies has done something a bit dumb. He should never have grabbed his face, hoping to get a call on a stick that basically touched his waist. He should, have by all rights, be given an unsportsmanlike penalty for that. Other than that though, he's doing more than anyone could really expect of a rookie in his first PO series.

Pretty tall order to expect the Leafs to win 4 in a row against Tampa. That first goal against really seemed like a back-breaker. It likely gave Tampa Bay a lot of confidence. Overall though, I don't think we were really too, too bad. We had a few good looks but our shooting let us down a bit. Vasi was definitely pretty good, too.

Bring on Saturday. This team, especially Sammy, have been pretty good after a loss so let's just hope we can continue that trend.
The way vasi is playing now we are going to have to score some greasy goals .
And leafs play hit hit hit Hedman take him out of the game
Bunting in Zar out
Lilly in holl out

I’m usually as pessimistic as anybody on here. Surprisingly that loss didn’t really bother me that much. I think TO closes it out tomorrow.

Hopefully this is a spot where ROR's leadership and championship pedigree comes into play.

Would be so easy for alot of the players to think, here we go again and there's quite alot of negativity amongst the fanbase, but he should be able to settle the boys and get everyone focused on game 6.

The first period on saturday will be huge. The TB crowd will be loud and we will need to weather a early storm.

I can't stand this team and Keefe man.

1. Why are you moving knies off of the 3rd line after they've dominated for 3 games straight and gives your line up insane depth.

2. Why are you still playing holl after he's been on for literally 70%+ of goals against. Keefe using him as his number 1 pker even though the pk has been hot trash.

3. Samsonov still looks hella shaky like he has all series. He's not settled down at all and continues to leak God awful goals and has no confidence making any save.

Why is it so f***ing difficult for Keefe to ice the most optimized line up?

Devils season might be saved by a random rookie goalie because their starter all year shit the bed the first 2 games. They weren't afraid to make that change and it has done wonders for them. Keefe is so f***ing scared to try anything.

Lilly in for Holl, that's a no brainer. Bunting should come in too, Jarnkrok is way too high in the lineup right now. Jarnkrok isn't a player driver nor is he supposed to be but you need production there and he's just a black hole right now. He needed to bury his looks on the PP last night. Sit ZAR and move our wingers down a line so Bunting can go back on Line 1. Sammy for the start as well of course. His numbers were good last night, probably one of his best statistical nights all year. Just one very bad goal against

We're doomed if the average fan here has more smarts about lineups and strategy than the coach being paid to do the job.

It feels like we are down 3-0. Have to remind myself they just need one. Was at the game. They saved me a large bar bill as I was ready to celebrate last night. Just went home insread. See what Saturday brings

Uhhh, I'm not Nostradamus but I'm pretty sure 25,000 Leaf fans can tell you what Saturday brings.

Vasi has found his game, Sammy shit the bed last night.

Not looking good for the series.

F this team, I've been around too long to waste another minute on them. Right now yard work seems to be more appealing than spending another minute on these chokers

ROR needs lineup help. Nylander and Knies have been shown to work. Just moving that line above the waves make him dangerous. His line is getting caved. The fourth line is getting caved. Good thing we have a reserve 50 point player sitting on the bench to lend assistance to shifting personnel down

Despite Holl/Keefe being terrible there's not a lot of I have to complain about.

I didn't have the feeling they were grossly outplayed like gm3, I thought it was a pretty even game.

Tampa can still punch. They're not a pushover and those games where both teams are going end pretty much like this.

Am I crazy or did they miss a high stick there that hit Knies on the face?
If we are talking about the same play below the goal line in Tampa zone.

No ,no stick hit Knines in face it hit him in hip area and he snapped his head back trying to draw a penalty.

I think it was Kelly Huruty showing it on replay
