O'Reilly and his line sucked tonight. Just saying.

Yea they weren’t great, but they still have the threat of scoring. Kampfs line gets used in the dzone a lot, but it’s because they don’t have any offensive threat. Why put them out in the third when you are down one. Moreover, you could always plug orielly into the top 6 for shifts, jarnkrok or knies could swap with him for a shift or two.

I like Keefe as a coach, but one area I think he over coaches in is individual player sheltering. He feels like he has to hide certain players in the lineup so they don't get certain matchups. Mostly wingers.

I feel with a roster like this, you dictate. Let Tampa worry about it. Roll them out, get momentum and if it doesn't work out then it is truly on the players (I think it is on them anyway, but...).

Second area is simple, Justin-fckn-Holl.

Other than that, not a lot to complain about imo.

The numbers are bad too. Tampa had way more possession and scoring chances overall.
It’s probably because we had many “almost” goals/chances.

The powerplay in the 1st had 2-3 real good looks
Nylander almost had 2 breakaways
Marner had a breakaway
Rielly had his goal
We generated those chances a lot, but in the end they didn’t result in goals
Matthews had his one timer and also his pass across to Tavares

There was a span in the second where tampa would come and put the puck on net, only for us to take it the other way and keep it there for 1-1:30 minutes.

Just so I have this correct

The Leafs open the scoring at home. The crowd is pumped. The team is feeling great. We're on our way!!!!!

And the coach sends the 4th F line with the 3rd D pair over the boards for the centre ice face off and they get scored on in under a minute.

That happened right? He actually did that?
Your eyes did indeed not deceive you.

We gotta get that grinding shift out after the goal. God forbid we actually try to score another goal right after the first, that would be scumbag behaviour

One reason vegas is killing the jets is they don't have a Justin holl type player on their team a no IQ no skill pylon
Tbf jets have been missing ehlers, morrissey and perfetti for most of the series, but I do see the point you make and I agree

Honestly, winning 4 in a row is incredibly tough in a series, especially against a team as gritty and experienced as TB

But the way these games have went don’t inspire a lot of confidence. Tampa has dictated the pace of the game and now their superstar goaltender looks to be getting back into form. Keefe better have something up his sleeve

Nothing proves they Will and yet Nothing proves "THEY Won't"

Their goalie played above average for one game. Let's not get carried away. I think Vasi is a great goaltender. But he hasn't had it this year and looks very beatable

I knew we were losing when Tampa scored the second goal - just one of those "oh, spit" moments.

The second PP unit looked better than the first again.

Tavares is painful to watch.

Why the fourth line on late when we're behind?

Vasi was the difference. How many times did Willy set someone up in the slot, just to have him make the save?

My fault guys - I said Leafs in 6 before the series started.

Yes, that’s why I said he looks to be getting back into form.

My hope is we’re pulling something similar to what Colorado did last year. Lose game 5 on home ice in a close one, but win game 6 in TB

BWO Press Release:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the launch of the ballon fleet with the f***ing Round 1 Parade route has been delayed until Saturday, April 29th.

Subscribers, I remind you of the unofficial route:

Rest assured that the Peruvian BWO Headquaters sub-basement C press continues unabated. We're getting it on. Baby.

Yep. Keefe literally doing the things that Babcock did in the playoffs against Boston to get fired. He's a loser. At least Babcock won something (before coming to Toronto.)

if babcock was still here we would have had at least one round win by now.

first 2 playoffs with babcock was meh b/c of young team. first playoff nobody even expected us to make playoffs and take Caps to 6 games.

3rd yr of playoffs babcock was given a shit roster by the joke of a gm in dubas. dubas imo on purpose sabotaged babock and then got him fired.

guess what? mlse is still paying babcock's salary + dubas/keefe salary and they don't have any "new" results. On teh contrary, under dubas/keefe leafs have found new ways to embarass themsleves be it 1) zambodi driver game, 2) losing to freakin CBJ and habs in a series

if leafs don't make it to at least ECF i hope mlse is done with shanahan, dubas and keefe. this organization is filled with "who you know" not "what you know"; merit and competence is thrown out the door. need complete house cleaning

Chance to close out a series:

Holl braindead plays.

Goalie gives up a horrible goal.

Coach galaxy braining.

what is new?

Justin Holl will be the end of Keefe as a Leaf coach...that attempted check on Hagel after Rielly scored was brutal...this was a series clinching game, not a pre-season exhibition game...there's no hockey sense in that play at all, it's as if he changed his mind in the middle of it, or simply does not have the IQ to execute what he wanted to do...and he ends up losing his stick also, attempts to pick it up and takes himself out of playing defense completely...on any given game, there are only a limited amount of chances for teams to score, big reason why Holl is on for so many goals is because he bleeds chances to Tampa...when goals don't get scored, it might be an afterthought and dismissed, but when goals do get scored on chances given up, you get stats like Justin Holl's - on for over 73 percent of goals scored by TB this series...Cooper probably grinning end to end every time Holl is on the ice because he could be easily exploited...Keefe needs to adjust...Cooper is reading him like a book and pretty much forced Keefe to play the 4th line so much because all Cooper has to do is force offensive possession and faceoffs in Leafs' zone, knowing Keefe will have the 4th line out there, which completely reduces time for the Leafs' first two lines...is it a coincidence that Kampf played almost 14 minutes tonight?

What is Keefe saving the core 4 for? A long series? Should have shortened his bench and rode his top guys tonight to victory. He should have only used 3 lines the most in the 3rd period when the Leaf needed goals.

He could start by icing his best line up, which the Leafs haven't yet played with. Insert Liljegren and Bunting and good things will happen.

Seriously… this team has the talent to win this series and even maybe the cup. But for f*** sakes… figure out who needs to sit, and get everyone playing as hard as they can. If these guys can’t figure it out, then blow all of this up and hope to win a cup in like 2035. I’m sure I’ll still be alive then….

Let’s be honest guys..even if you don’t want to admit it..that was essentially game 7… this series is over barring another miracle. Both the road wins were nothing short of miracles…They ain’t winning game 6 unless it’s another miracle…and game 7.. well we know how that goes. I’m not sure I can really put myself through another leafs meltdown..so other than checking the score here and there I sadly can’t witness anymore games..i’ll check in here though to get an idea of how they’re playing
