Post-Game Talk: Holl and Keefe hand Tampa the victory

The loser mentality in here is just mind blowing. We played pretty well tonight against a very good team and the best goalie in the world was the difference for them. We have two cracks to win one more game and anyone who thinks the series is over and we lost is just suffering from a mega dose of PTSD.

I think I'm not going to spend much time here next couple of days, this place is just too negative. All streaks end, our losing streak will end one day too and no reason it can't end the next game and if not then, no reason it can't end game 7. These next two games, sure it'll be would soul crushing if we lose but all that history and pressure will just make it that much sweeter if we win. This is what it's all about, if the pressure is too much for some of you then don't watch and play Parcheese instead or something and that's fine. But spewing your negativity all over this forum does nothing for anyone.

Keefe's hard on for holl has been on for so long that no other d-men have iced for 2 weeks. and its not like holl has sucked ass just tonight. he has been bad since game 1.

Keefe should’ve called his doctor long ago with how long this hard on has lasted.

We had a lot of chances filling the front of the net I thought? I don’t do advanced stats, but I bet the high risk shots = goals stat, whatever that is, is close, and probably in the Leafs favour.

Champ team dug down and got a close game on some bounces their way and one terrible goal against Sammy, but he gets a pass on it.

We got this boys. Really. No one is counting Boston out on the 3-2 series. They are going to come out and win game 6. So are we.

Samsonov and Holl cost us the game.

It's fun to shit on the Leafs, but they were objectively the better team that game. Not that it matters anymore... but people are acting like they went out there and got dominated. Holl got dominated, no doubt.

Vasi was finally good
Samsonov was bad again.
That was the difference tonight.

Vasi cost TB 3 games which will likely hurt their chances to win the series against the Bruins

Holl turned the wrong way. Goalie needs to make the save though but never should have been a shot.

Just too many errors on that player , way too many , it’s actually bizarre level now .
There’s not another coach in the league that wouldn’t recognize these things and act accordingly.

Matthews: 11 Goals, 17 assists, 28 Points. Over an 82 game pace that’s, 38 Goals, 58 assists, 96 points.

Marner: 4 Goals, 23 assists, 27 points.
Over an 82 game pace that’s 14 goals, 79 assists, 93 points.

Nylander: 12 goals, 14 assists, 26 points.
Over an 82 game pace that’s 41 goals, 48 assists, 89 points.

Tavares (only 17 games because no Montreal series): 8 goals, 7 assists, 15 points. Over an 82 game pace that’s 39 goals, 33 assists, 72 points.

Rielly: 8 goals, 9 assists, 17 points. Over an 82 game over that’s 27 goals, 31 assists, 58 points.

Aside from Marner’s lack of goal scoring, that’s honestly not as bad as people make it sound, and it blows my mind Keefe continues to just fumble with this lineup.

Total poor team effort all around. We were outskated and beat to the puck all night long. And Sami looked awkward out there as well. If it takes a 110% effort to win, I'd say that we gave about 70 to 75%. Not nearly good enough.

They’ve been beaten to the puck all series. TB wins the majority of races to loose pucks. Glaring how slow the Leafs are.

Any team can beat any other team on any given night and all streaks come to end sooner or later. That's reality, and thinking it's not so and we can't win, that's blindness.
