Glen Sather was the best coach at coaching a team with a core that we have and with our additions ….to finally balance what we’ve always had with our elite young players .
Dubas let us down with his stubborn and incorrect future vision of what hockey will become , not yet anyway , on its way though . Finally he’s figured it out , to bad it wasn’t earlier , oh well . His coach reverse savant lame ass brainiac new age pile of ……….coaching style and philosophy completely nullifies his young horses by using them as pawns in his milky way Uber chess game .. and thinks by changing players every shift all year non stop and going with the combinations that clearly don’t work constantly, than at the very end he starts playing his elites and loads up offensive situations and on and on and on …
Sather knew not to get in the way of his team , simple coaching theory with the teams he had ..
Let his elite play over and over especially in the playoffs and especially when you’re behind and especially when you’re home and could finish them off .
This coach is ridiculously inept not recognizing what he has and completely inadequate giving in to his personal stubbornness.
Same old post game , but nothing changes when it counts for him ..
I usually like to share the blame , I’m all for that normally ..
But like other key games before that he has lost it for us , this one for sure was on him solely ..

Listen or watch his lame ass excuses again tonight , and another reporter asked him the obvious about Holl being on the fir 73?% of total goals this far .

Players like Gretzky McDavid , AM , MM , WN need to feel it and need to do their thing especially in the playoffs , they need to play lots especially when you need big plays in big games in the biggest time of the year …
You can see the frustration in AMs face and the rest of them after seeing goal go in against us with their 4th line on and Holl …once again ..
After we’ve seen this over and over and over again .
You could see the frustration on Dubas face and I’m pretty sure this one was directed to the coach and seeing who was one once again .

Nope he doesn’t , he literally rewards his players , coaching and team for poor play by coasting . And pisses off his young horses by overly monitoring their play and line matching when you have 3 very very good lines and you all know the rest ..
Not going to even finish my thoughts …depressing , deflating, and just simply apathetically checked out ..
If it’s not one thing it’s another , but it’s worse when you have awesome players and your leader is a hockey nerd without balls and too big of brain for his own good …

Then crash the f***ing net, stand at the top of his crease, force him to crouch to track the puck, stick his pads at whistles, knock his stick out of his hands on flybys, take high slappers to his shoulders and scrum, knock his defensemen into him after a save, etc. and lob point shots all over the place for tips and screen goals.

If a goalie is hot, you run these tactics to try and throw him off his game. If you don't do any of these things and passively get goalied when they feel like it, it tells me a team isn't digging deep enough to do whatever it takes to get an edge.

After watching the highlights again, what in the name of f*** was ZAR trying to do in front of the net on that 3rd goal? Talk about a low percentage play. That makes it certain he is coming out for me.

Laff has been mostly quiet, but ZAR has turned the puck over a lot for a guy who gets so little ice time.

Welp, we've lost 2 of 3 games in Toronto, meanwhile we are 2-0 in Tampa. Way to bring it home with that home ice last line change advantage, Keefer.

Bummed that we lost, but going to keep an even keel that we get away from at home jitters and just go into Tampa on Saturday take care of damn business.

.......... but I really hate Justin Holl. I'm sorry, I've tried to cheer for him because I cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but I %ucking hate the guy. I just think he's dumb and slow and doesn't think the game well at all.

After the Habs fiasco I skipped the entire season minus 4-5 games and waited for the playoffs. Got a lot more done and the result was exactly the same.

Will do that again next year if it happens again.
