We probably won a game we should have lost in Tampa so like you said, it’s 3-2 Leafs.

I actually think Tampa has been the much better team in 4 of the 5 games. Not that it matters, it's the score that matters, but I think we've been outclassed.

It also doesn't help when Marner, Tavares, our goalie and the 4th line/bottom pairing D don't show up every elimination game

Nylander, who is my favourite Leaf alongside Morgan, is only engaged 50% of the time. It's basically Matthews and Rielly trying to win us a deciding game all the time.

He did the same thing after Game 4 last year when Holl was called out. He kept playing holl out of spite and then Holl f***ed up in Game 6 OT, and then Game 7 Holl was complete trash

Holl has had 5 f***ing games in the series of 7 games and there wasn't one game where he didn't loook like a jackass on ice

Fair point .. last year Liljegren was still fairly fresh but this year he's established himself with strong play and still can't crack the line-up

That's a goaltending issue that means you aren't getting saves.

That was such a gut punch of a game to be at tonight. I’ve been to a lot of Leaf games and the energy has never been that pent up or explosive. The sheer joy after that first goal was palpable. The let down after the empty netter physically hurt. I don’t think the Leafs played particularly badly, every Tampa goal was off a fluke bounce. Samsonov needs to collect those rebounds better. But man I’m down. That freaking sucked. Please bring it game 6 fellas, we as a fan base need this.

We were the 2nd best team in this game after we scored the first goal. Tampa got us to play at their pace.

And I don't give a crap about Vasilevsky or the officiating or Samsonov letting in a softie or Holl (though he should sit next game). The bulk of our cap is tied to guys who are supposed to score goals and not just play well. So score a pile of damn goals in a series-clinching game!

...and not just score goals or get points. It's all about WHEN they get them. We needed that goal from Marner tonight (on the breakaway), or we needed Matthews to create one rather than just toss the puck around nonsensically.

I know they scored goals to get to this point, but this is where their production dies, every time... series clinching games.

And to be honest, if they can't get it done, what's the point in them being here? 0-11 is series clinching games? Like, that sounds made up ffs.
