It's a f***ing tryout. Some of you guys whine about absolutely everything.
This place is going to be a toxic cesspool until the Leafs win something. Even if it's a round against a team that is injured from top to bottom.

I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.
The bigger risk is he actually makes the team.I get the talent part. The risk is he's a massive sh;thead.
Star players get lee-way. Ho-Sang hasn't done anything in years to show he's a star player. You need guys throughout your roster of buying in, and Ho-Sang's entire history screams he has been incapable of buying in. It's why Windsor dumped him and why Islanders essentially banished him.
I think in hockey, people tend to label any player who’s not quiet, boring, your stereotypical yes man and status quo as a shit head. The only bad thing he did was be late to practice during camp. All the other things he got hate for simply being who he actually is and not being fake which 90% of the NHL is, which is a stupid hockey culture thing. The kid wanted to wear 66 big deal, NHL is the only league that makes a big deal about previous players numbers
No, he's a player who got kicked out of multiple billets in Windsor and was traded due to that, and constantly broke team rules. It's not about him being outspoken. That just magnifies the issue. You think he got redflagged just for being arrogant to the media?no his history shows he’s a player who can stand up for himself and not conform to what organizations label him as. Which is a massive issue in hockey.
Don’t usually see PTO’s in July, I could see late August or September.

And adapting to institutional cultures is something that exists in most walks of life.
He didn't get blackballed for no reason. He got blacklisted because went out of his way to be a dick to McDavid at the U-17's for Team Ontario (related to Ho-Sang not liking McDavid for overshadowing him his OHL draft year with the Marlies, after Ho-Sang didn't get exceptional status) and didn't work particularly hard. Hockey Canada doesn't blackball you for no reason. There are legitimate gripes about treatment of outspoken people in hockey, but Ho-Sang isn't the guy to build your case around. And, if he carried a hockey Canada issue back to Windsor and led to him acting unprofessionally, that's not really reflective of good character. He initially got red flagged because he got snaked and black balled by hockey Canada for no reason. Way before any of this started and that’s what kind of set him off

He whined to the media multiple times in Long Island. Does any industry tolerate their low-level employees whining to the press? Just because you are professional in front of the media, doesn't mean you are a yes man and don't voice concerns in private.either way there are two sides to every story. I do think Ho-Sang has been mistreated it doesn’t mean he is a saint. Additionally this happened years ago, he’s not the same person he was then. The one thing I do like about Ho Sang is he’s not a puppet. He’s going to speak his mind and I respect that, the NHL is full of yes men cowards who are too scared to say anything of substance.
Not in the same way. Not even close. And? We have a team of them lol

If we were talking about Akim Aliu I agree. But, my comment had nothing to do with hazing and nothing related to Ho-Sang is about him being hazed.I'm sorry, but you can take your "institutional cultures" and shove them up your f***ing ass. Stupid hazing rituals to show how "manly" you are shouldn't be part of ANY organization, PERIOD.
PTO is the right call, as in, “act like a professional and we’ll see how we feel about offering you a contract.” I see no harm in this. Make him earn it like Galchenyuk did.
WrongOf course they will, Dubas just loves guys under 5’11 who are soft, lack heart, leadership or a winning pedigree.
Dubas has no clue what it takes to win in the NHL and the building of his roster shows that.
Those are the types of fans who we shouldn't be listening too. It's a f***ing tryout. Some of you guys whine about absolutely everything.
