Just watched the highlights of the Czech Rep - USA game. Hardly anyone in attendance. They really should just revert to playing this event in the Czech Republic only, you get an atmosphere going (even when the host team is not playing).

They just need a smaller venue. Rogers Center offers top notch training and practice facilities for the teams tho irregardless of the attendance and probably why Hockey Canada hosts it there.

Yeah, not enough talent in this game to be all that entertaining.

The American team plays such a rock solid game. They don’t have a ton of pop offensively, but they’ve been a rock in their own zone and really physical

The D is lead by Fiddler and Rombach. Those two are monsters for this age group. They’ve been suffocating defensively in both American games. Both play mean too, especially Rombach. (Honourable mention to McCrate, he has been great as well)

From a draft perspective have a feeling NHL teams will be all over those two

Nothing too special for McKenna. Didn't attack the start as aggressively as I would have liked but he had his moments and nearly scored. Hoping for a big period.

Becoming a big fan of Cameron Schmidt. Speed and tenacity plus a good shot.

The stat tracking has been really strange. It actually seems that the stats at the smaller rink are more accurate. In Slovakia Sweden game they gave assist credits to players who weren’t even on the ice

Thing I like about this Canadian team is they forecheck harder than many Canadian Hlinka Gretzky/U18 teams have in the past. Don't have as much skill but they put the press on every shift

Yeah they have been pretty relentless on that front, it's nice to see.

Totally agree, the pressure and active sticks they are relentless and turn a lot of pucks over.

They extend shifts in the offensive zone just because they are out working the opponent.
