Kevan was just under a point per game in the USHL as a 16 year old. Probably a late 1st to early 2nd type right now. His speed and frame are intriguing. Arizona State has a good one coming.

For Des Moines too. Really impressive considering how much that team & program has been floundering in recent years.

I read someone critique the Czechs hosting of this last year because of the fog on the glass.


That is a fair point.. it's hard to keep fog off the ice in August in sold out buildings.

However, no concerns of that happening here as there are, again, no fans in attendance.

Just watched the highlights of the Czech Rep - USA game. Hardly anyone in attendance. They really should just revert to playing this event in the Czech Republic only, you get an atmosphere going (even when the host team is not playing).

US coach needs to mix the forward lines up a bit. Not even close to using everyone effectively. Travis Hayes getting shafted IMHO. I know it's hard with a bunch of unfamiliar players in such a short amount of time, but c'mon.

Not sure if Canada does any sort of school performance incentives/summer reading programs to get a field trip, but they really need to get some elementary school students in there to expose em all to hockey and get the attendance up in that building for the non Canada games.

I dunno, they've given up multiple breakaways and odd man rushes, which finally resulted in a goal against.

They gotta clean it up around the blue lines.

They're playing basic forechecking hockey, but they don't have enough top end skill to score enough to beat the actually good teams
