Yeah, Yahoo doesn't allow you to input parameters for keepers so we can only let you select 11 and we'll throw them out if they don't meet the criteria. Pretty much what Jaster said.

You're not really required to carry prospects if you don't want to. So many of these prospects, when they finally make your roster they don't end up being worthwhile additions to your team and typically you might prefer a waiver claim over a young kid playing a bit part on a team.

I think the idea of having prospects on our team was great, but seeing how it's executed I don't think it's actually worth doing. It would be different if we were required to play three prospects that might be different, but just carrying them is kind of pointless because you're never going to play most of them. Requiring teams to play three prospects would maximize the value of the top prospects, but it would also make headaches to enforce all year long. When you also factor in that Yahoo doesn't have college players in their system yet, that makes it even harder to get worthwhile prospects.

Ideally we could keep prospects in those NA slots until they have exceeded prospect status, but since we can't then the whole prospect thing is kind of a racket.

I think what we're doing now is probably best, carry them if you want them.

Correct, he is ineligible. Only players drafted in 2020, 2021, and 2022 can be kept. And since no one in the league has any draftees from 2022 on their roster yet, it's really just 2020 and 2021 draftees who can be kept as "prospects."

I'll be releasing some keeper-level players into the FA pool unless anyone wants to make a 2-for-1 trade and upgrade their keeper pool.

I thought it was the 9th? What time because I have a draft at 1:00 that day, I could do it at night.

@Sparty said earlier he originally set it for the 9th because he thought that was before the season started, but then realized it's not, so he said he switched it to the 2nd. League page still says the 9th though.

Historically, it's been in the evenings. Currently, it's set for 9:30pm EST on the 9th, so I suspect we'll shoot for about the same time on the 2nd.

I guess when I tried to change the draft date previously, I didn't change the keeper deadline, and since the keeper deadline was after the draft date, the draft date change didn't get confirmed.

So I changed the keeper deadline to tomorrow and the draft date is now Sunday October 2 at 9:30pm.

Do we all have our keepers set now?

we haven't in the past at least not that I can remember. If there is one this year, I wouldn't be able to make it. Have several drafts that day.

There's a chat in the yahoo draft interface and there's usually some fun chatter on that, we don't go anywhere else to discuss though.

I think you selected too many keepers for Prez, isn't it supposed to be 8 non-prospects?

Wait Broberg isn't on that team, did you mean Bouchard? I didn't select him as prospect. You're right Byram and Turcotte wouldn't be prospects though. I had Byram, Knight and Turcotte as the prospects

So not going to lie, connections are terrible down here. First time to the internet. Everyone I know is okay and that is most important. But every possibility I won't be on the draft tomorrow. Bigger things in life right now. I don't know if someone can change my keeper plan, I think I just had prospect issues, change what you can if possible.
