So not going to lie, connections are terrible down here. First time to the internet. Everyone I know is okay and that is most important. But every possibility I won't be on the draft tomorrow. Bigger things in life right now. I don't know if someone can change my keeper plan, I think I just had prospect issues, change what you can if possible.
That's great to hear that everyone you know is ok! Sucks to hear you won't make the draft.

Here's the first major hint of the direction I'm taking this team:

Alex Ovechkin is available.

Mostly looking for youth. Due to the keeper rules quality over quantity. If someone sends me a decent package I will consider it.

So a question and maybe this is a screwy Yahoo thing, but since when does draft year have anything to do with prospect status. Broberg has played 23 games in the NHL. He is still a rookie and I thought it was 50 for the league. It does look like I will make the draft, wrapped up for the day and the couple people that have been staying with me left because they think their power is back.

Anyone know offhand if I can draft on the app? I can't remember from last year. I know I had to go to the website to set my keepers, but I'm on my phone and would rather draft on the app.

Hey guys sorry I couldn't really answer any questions before the draft, was dealing with family stuff just trying to get the kids asleep. Seems like things went alright, thanks everyone!

Prez were you able to draft or were you auto-drafted? Are you planning on playing this year or did you want us to find another owner?

Went really future heavy. I've got a few leagues going so I like to spice things up. Figured with the keeper rules I'd draft a lot of youth in hopes some of the guys break out to be better than my current keepers. Sort of like a rebuild I guess.

The draft year thing has been part of the prospect rule since I joined the league before last season. I'm honestly not sure why it was drawn up that way in the first place, but whatever sense it made back when there were 14 teams in the league, it makes even less sense now that there are 10.

I like the idea of there being a real route from prospect keeper status to regular keeper status, so I'd happily vote for junking the draft year part of the rule. Just make it 50 games straight up. Or better, yet, make it a full 82. Or 100.

I can't remember where anymore but I feel like there was a point where we decided we weren't going to bother with draft year requirements anymore and just use the games played as the only guideline.

The way I recall it now is that keepers only need to have played under 50 games, and you're not actually required to carry them if you don't want to bother. Do I have that right?

I think Pres bailed on us, I'm going to put it out that we need another manager. This is a pretty solid team with a nice batch of keepers, and I feel like they worked pretty hard to build that group so I'm hesitant to give the team away but I have sent them a lot of messages inquiring if they were still going to play, so last chance I guess...

Commish gave you two extra regular keepers too!
Like I said before, I wasn't sure that we still had a date qualification and all three of their prospects were 2019 draftees who haven't played fifty games yet. Knight, Byram and Turcotte. We'll be sure to work that out next offseason so we're all on the same page w/r/t prospect eligibility. My bad guys.

I ain't worried about it. But I think we should just officially state, moving forward, draft year no longer matters, just 50 games. The draft year thing doesn't really make sense anyway, and it's extra work for you or whoever is checking on that.

@Sparty, you and I are 3rd and 4th in points, respectively, and are both 0-2. Let's get 'er goin, eh?

I'm afraid you're going to go 0-3 against rhe rebuild squad.
:box:

It's possible. Last season I started 1-4, but later ripped off a 14-week winning streak to take the championship. I'm a slow starter I guess.

Yeah I know I'm 0-2 but I didn't realize I was so high up in points, so that's encouraging at least, lol. Need my guy Cam Talbot to come back soon. I'm liking my defense this year but I think my forwards can be improved upon.

I had Dahlin last year and really wanted him back again this year but I didn't get it done, feel like I'm going to be regretting that for years now.
