I think that's the best review I've seen on fast x.

I haven't actually seen it fwiw. Or any of them actually. Just never seemed like my jam, I'm not against them. I'm not a car guy, and at least early on that seemed like it was their whole thing.
Probably the best one out of the last few. Fast 9 can be launched into the trashcan like the car they launched into space.

@Ogrezilla Finally pushed in further to the house of healing after exploring it plenty (and thus finding the journal of dr giggles thorm... malius thorm or whatever his real name is, the crazy surgeon guy... I was preparing for a pretty massive fight - one that I'd in all likelihood be destroyed, and I had enough inspiration points and a little bit of luck to
read back to him and succeed that in order for his nurse pupils to advance they should be the ones to 'heal' me, but that his readings say that could not be possible without first operating on him..... well I'll be surprised and shocked the crazy bastard did it. Jumped on the slab and let them have at him :ee..
and there was, no fight and it was pretty shocking haha... on my face and my party in the game haha... I don't know what to say... besides was just expecting a different outcome and stance...

that's one of the few situations I didn't end up in a fight too, same outcome

@Honour Over Glory I am loving Severance. Just finished episode 7 and just very audibly asked WTF to my TV when
he puts the picture of his dead wife back together and it's the counselor at work with him. I also think I may have fist pumped when Irv said lets burn this place to the ground after Burt's retirement party. All of it is nuts. Her trying to hang herself. The guy seeing his son in the real world. basically celebrating work-Burt's death at the retirement. All of it is nuts.
This shit is wild. Strong recommendation to everyone; this is the most interesting mystery/wtf is happening show I've seen in a long long time.

It's easily one of the best shows. Apple just f***ing kills with shows, they don't release a lot of shows but when they do, it's f***ing great more often than not.

Then there's Netflix - oh you like this show?

I'm pretty annoyed with how streaming platforms essentially found a way to dominate from cable and made many switch over and now they're throwing ads on streams. I'm glad I got the iptv box, because f*** these wankers.

yeah it's a shame netflix has gone the way they have. They made a lot of really good shows, at least for a while. But then they cancel so many prematurely and have generally just gotten worse over time.

The problem with Netflix is their hit to shit ratio is awful.

For every 1 good show they make, they make 50 bad ones and then cancel the 1 good one or shorten it to 2-3 seasons and extend shitty shows endlessly. It's not like the others are any better, but they will at least try to make some good shows. I think Amazon cancelling The Peripheral was weak as shit and was hoping another Streamer would pick it up, that was a fantastic show and it's gone. Amazon for me is notorious for taking forever to release shows, my wife is a fan of that The Wheel of Time show, the first season aired 2021, then the second in 2023. By then, you have to literally re-watch the first f***ing season to even know what went on because a recap isn't going to help.

Amazon did the same with Carnival Row, which was even worse for the gap between Season 1 and 2.

Season 1 - 2019
Season 2 - 2023 - WTF?

Then they rushed Season 2 and it was a pathetic end to a show with so much potential.

Then the same with Good Omens, American Gods....both took forever and rushed. Netflix getting Sandman always irked me because I don't trust those wankers with a property like that, the first season was great and Gaiman is very involved and he's been iffy with how that can go, either he will push for the right things or throw a tantrum and f*** it all up like AG.

I am hesitant to watch shows that aren't finished at this point. Sadly I know people like me are part of the problem of shows not getting finished   I love shows like Hill House that are just 1 season, or things like Fargo. Though I haven't seen Fargo S4. The trailer and cast for 5 looks great though.

I've been more into watching movies lately. I just went with a show because I'm switching jobs and have a week off.

also I just started reading Mistborn. Not very far in but its good so far. We'll see if it drags me into the whole Cosmere world. Worlds? I honestly don't know anything about them except that people like them and there are like 60 of them

I am 100% fine with a Mini-Series like Hill House, etc. I think what I hate is that Netflix doesn't see how those are more wins than losses for people being annoyed with them. Do a show, as a mini series, leave the ending ambiguous enough to see if you want to do a 2nd season, but if you start it as a series, then people expect another if it's good.

yep, nobody on Netflix should ever finish a season in a way that couldn't be a series finale if need-be. At least tie up the major loose ends. No cliffhangers without a renewal in place.

Yeah they made the "Limited Series" tag for a lot of shows, just roll with it. Like those Harlan Coben show's they keep making, they're Mini Series or "Limited Series" and that's fine. It lets you tell a story in a season format, just do five 1hr episodes, wrap it up, and quickly move into another story with a different Limited Series.

Although with the Hill House bs, that show was good, the rest by that director is mediocre as shit, he keeps using the same actors and keeps casting his C level actress Wife in prominent roles and she just is not good in those roles, ruins it for me. The most recent one I just passed on, saw she was another main character and said no thanks.

I really liked Midnight Mass. Could have done with 20 less minutes of monologue, but still really good imo. I also and thought Bly Manor was good. Not Hill house good, and not scary really at all, but good still. Haven't tried Midnight Club or House of Usher.

I also have never once had an issue with his wife. I think she does plenty well in her roles.

I started watching Severance on a pirate website. The episodes kept clipping backwards and I couldn't tell if it was actually part of the show. After I watched an episode of a different series on the site and it was still clipping backwards I determined that it's just the website.

Anyway, I need to find a new way to watch it since I really want to finish season one.

Lol I'm not a fan of Top Boy. But if you're looking for a bunch of shows from the UK you want to watch, I may be your bloke, @Shrimper just watches Eastenders and the fake Top Gear.

Brings an entirely different twist to a show with amazing twists.

Like a Tenet Severance.

The one show I'm waiting to see again is The Lazarus Project. That is a fantastic show as well. Paapa Essiedu is amazing in it, I kind of hated that he left Gangs of London but right into this was a jump upwards. Season 2 should be out soon I hope.

also I have fallen way behind on the MCU and I honestly have no interest in a show about a side character from a show that was only decent. But Echo actually looks like it could be good? I mean I have doubts, but that's a good trailer at least. Focusing on Donforio is kind of cheating though, he's just great.

That said I'm like 4 or 5 shows and a movie or 2 behind at this point. I actually think Hawkeye was the last show I watched. I did watch Guardians 3 and it was good.

I'll be honest on the movies though; they have fully failed to make me actually care about the big story post endgame. The older ones even when some movies were weaker at least I still cared about the characters and big story. At this point I'm kind of hoping for the next couple to do badly enough that they decide that they should just sidestep this whole universe and start a new one with X-Men. Fantastic Four can be there too. But drop off all of the current baggage first and just build their world fresh.
