The problem with Netflix is their hit to shit ratio is awful.
For every 1 good show they make, they make 50 bad ones and then cancel the 1 good one or shorten it to 2-3 seasons and extend shitty shows endlessly. It's not like the others are any better, but they will at least try to make some good shows. I think Amazon cancelling The Peripheral was weak as shit and was hoping another Streamer would pick it up, that was a fantastic show and it's gone. Amazon for me is notorious for taking forever to release shows, my wife is a fan of that The Wheel of Time show, the first season aired 2021, then the second in 2023. By then, you have to literally re-watch the first f***ing season to even know what went on because a recap isn't going to help.
Amazon did the same with Carnival Row, which was even worse for the gap between Season 1 and 2.
Season 1 - 2019
Season 2 - 2023 - WTF?
Then they rushed Season 2 and it was a pathetic end to a show with so much potential.
Then the same with Good Omens, American Gods....both took forever and rushed. Netflix getting Sandman always irked me because I don't trust those wankers with a property like that, the first season was great and Gaiman is very involved and he's been iffy with how that can go, either he will push for the right things or throw a tantrum and f*** it all up like AG.
