I don't understand the allure of Tim Horton's. It's shitty food that's sort of dirt cheap but it's worth less than the cheap prices, awful coffee, it's got the worse customer service and just has a bizarre cult following.

Those Tim bit things are flat out disgusting.

Be better than Tim Horton's, mates. If you feel like you enjoy it, ask yourself why you hate and value yourself so poorly to enjoy such garbage and gaslit yourself into thinking this is acceptable food.
People have the weird thing going where rather than to cook actual real food and be good at it, they pay strangers to make you saw dust and preservatives most of which gets warmed up in a micro nuker which destroys the last bit of health value the food had (if it had any to begin with).
And they pay a lot of money to eat this disgusting food.
I say because it is on tv. Many people are brain washed by the thing without second guessing it.

It was Canadian until the last owners sold out to the mighty dollar. After that the food went downhill quick. Wasnt a bad donut shop when they made them fresh in house.
Burger King doesn't own them. RBI (resturant brands international) owns them. Capital Group owns them. Which also 'invests' into Microsoft / Tesla etc, I mean... it all goes back to a few corporations / people.

See my question then would be...

Was it average before and now below average and blokes finally noticed but it's so cheap they just say "eh it's ok, it's aboot the value eh?"

Apparently Matthew Perry has died
Torn on this.

Bloke did a ton of drugs, became a recluse, was a dick to a lot of people. He even talked shit about Keanu Reeves which he had to walk back after. He was barely living with the ailments he had, at this point this feels like relief he's finally just at rest, for me.

I liked Studio 60 at the sunset strip and other things he was in away from friends. But his life after he last acted has been mostly just waiting for...as morbid as this is to say, but for this to just happen.

Took me forever just to realize who you's were talking about.
That guy.
Wasn't he a major alcoholic? Outside of major brain damage not even mentioning kidney at liver etc. THEN the drugs and god knows whatever else.

Drugs/Alcohol -- If not already hooked young you gotta get off the poison quick before it consumes your soul early in life and stays the duration.

Not sad at all... the guy was suffering. Now he is free'd from the awful cycle.

eh, still sad. He had plenty of points where he was getting better, and at least according to the book he was recently in a good place and seemed really hopeful going forward.

I do not get emotionally involved with 'actors'. I don't know them, I don't know who they really are and when they are pretending. Going from there as a general rule but that rule is never broken.

Then you add addiction to the figure in question. Of course there will be moments of recovery and bright cheery outlooks, then oops set-back, hospitalization, or death... it's like a script. I have my own close relatives with the problem and they are a walking nightmare... add money to it (celeb) it could only get worse. So, sad on a general level, sure, struggling all through life (who doesn't) but so many people struggle with it yet we focus on (celeb / famous / rich) them.... No they won't get my emotions, my.... no I'm not going to rant about it =P
Variety is the spice of life as they say, without variety life would be incredibly dull among many other dreadful things, so I respect and value your opinion ;)

Up until he threw shade at Keanu for no reason and then later said it was just a name he picked.

Glad he cleared that up before he passed because that wasn't a good look at all.

I had no idea what you meant by this. I looked this up, that’s apparently edited out of newer editions of the book.

The thing is I don't blame him for being mad about River Phoenix dying, but he blamed the wrong bloke in Keanu.

The Viper Room was Johnny Depp's joint and a massive drug abusing dipshit that he still is, was allowing underaged actors in his club to hang out and had his drug deal pal sell drugs to his actor friends.

The fact that he didn't target that as the point of anger for a friend dying and blamed just a big name actor that was there was attention grabbing weak shit and he was called out on it and admitted it was poor taste and changed it.

I really hate mobile phone keyboards. Android or Apple, I wish Jim Silly Balls didn't tank BlackBerry.

Watched Forgotten (korean) saturday and The Eyes Of Laura Mars last night...
8.0 (even though got sad at end)
and 7.0 (wasn't bad just not a fan of the disco and 70's vibe of it all, but the film plot was fine)

Tonight I think is THE CALL, korean film, heard it's complicated / confusing kind of deal so... may be a tough one, to have to read, and follow complex plot visually etc etc...

Watched SINISTER last night, for halloween eve film night. and.... not really sure what to say about it. Nothing really happens, but it wasn't bad, I mean, bad as in you can't stand watching it... this I didn't, we didn't mind it, but we both said it was just kind of there, but not scary not interesting not mysterious, heh.... odd. I give it a 6 of 10 on a ten scale.

Have THE CALL (korean) for tonight, but not sure if we'll watch that or go with something scary.... usually scary movies aren't scary or are big nothings.... at this point of seeing so many. Getting older has many positives, and many non positives =]

An episode and a half in to Severence. This is about as effective as anything I've watched at making me uncomfortable in such a benign but miserable way.

@Honour Over Glory (I think it was you?) and whoever else

I'm struggling to get into the new Castlevania series. But I've just been exhausted to really pay attention to anything post-work.
The first series was great. I loved the game and it's been decades since and I didn't play any of the new ones but the story is pretty well explained in the show for newcomers. The new one I have not watched yet at all. But I plan to. I'd say pick one of those nights mate, where you just need something to binge and let it play 3 episodes straight. If you don't like it after that, abandon it.

Yes but it's an amazing show! It's a pretty interesting concept and mate the more you get into the show the more entrenched you'll be in the rabbit hole they'll lead you into.

Invasion and Foundation are also good but require you to really pay attention as they're heavy shows. I'll pick those up later, but Severance, Ted Lasso, Silo, Slow Horses, Black Bird, Bad Sisters, and Shrinking were all great.

Hijack was mediocre.
After Party lost all its magic in the second season.
The Crowded Room was boring
Physical I plan to check out, same for The Changeling.
Defending Jacob was also pretty decent.

One show that I stopped after the first season and will get back into now that it's over is Servant.

I loved Ted lasso.

The first season of raven quest or whatever the Mac video game show is called was fine. Not enough to care to keep going.

This is the only other thing I've started on applw so far. I meant that as a compliment btw, its great so far. I didn't know John tortoro was in this. And now Walken just showed up. Good stuff. But wtf.

Shrinking will probably be next for me just for the change of pace. But I'm going through apple shows while we have it for a bit so I'm sure I'll look into the others as well.

Mythic* Quest I actually really like as well. The last season because of the allegations, they lost a lot of that odd fun they had and went into some weird existential crisis bs.

Mate no offense taken. We all like different shows. I am finding it hard to find new shows and I'm glad there are shows that wrapped before the strike which sucks for actors, writers, etc that should get what they're asking for.

I watched it when the first season had just finished I think on a week trial of apple. I remember it mostly being pretty good with occasional really good bits. Which for a comedy is actually a good start usually, they need some time to figure their stuff out. I liked the cast a lot. And the one side episode with Jake Johnson and Cristin milioti was excellent. I feel like I don't see her a lot but she's great every time I do.

I'd say the first two Seasons are definitely great for the comedy and satire of the gaming community and studio big wigs as well as the talent behind it as well as power going to their heads etc.

Season 3 has its good moments but losing F Abraham Murray because of his conduct on the show definitely hurt the third season.

Watched Fast X two nights ago. Was mildly surprised that it wasnt complete garbage like Fast 9 was. Buuuuuut then they had to ruin it right at the end bringing back another dead character. Its free to watch on Amazon Prime.

I think that's the best review I've seen on fast x.

I haven't actually seen it fwiw. Or any of them actually. Just never seemed like my jam, I'm not against them. I'm not a car guy, and at least early on that seemed like it was their whole thing.
