Any particular reason or just not wanting to? I myself go 2-3 months at a time without drinking mostly either just not wanting to or just not doing it at all and drinking water or electrolytes instead.
I do know some mates will do this on and off thing of 3 months and usually they're the lads that drink heavily. I probably have maybe 1-2 drinks a week normally, lately not so much. Right now it's been 1.5 months without one.

You know what gets me about Rebel Moon?
Snyder's biggest gripes has been studios telling him what to cut and how much to cut, so he then goes on to tell everyone that's not the movie he intended to make and the studio ruined it essentially. Since the Snyder Cut Phenomena fuelled by some deranged toxic fans and some good fans as well as a ton of bots that Snyder himself utilized to make it "trend" more...that's now his shtick.
Netflix signed him after the Army of Dead thing, then he made a bunch more for that franchise that are releasing slowly, a world he's trying to build out - A ridiculous world where you can't be boring and it has to have action and AOD is ok in that regard, same for that spin off being mostly ok again.
But Rebel Moon, he had no list of things to cut, he just had to make a PG13 one that he felt he needed to make so younger viewers can watch it, I mean lol seriously? The Violence in it will make it so it appears on the regular netflix like the Rated R one will be, so what was the point? Also...
He had no one telling him what to cut so he edits a version he felt told the story he wanted to tell in a certain time frame (still too long) for a PG13 cut that largely fails as a proper movie that follows and coherent arc whatsoever and it's Snyder porn, all of his trademark annoying edits are in it - Slow Motion bs, weird dialogue, characters that are not fleshed out at all, weird scens of CGI, etc. The movie f***ing sucked. Then he wants everyone to believe the R one is so much better...it's like ok then mate, why not just release that one? Why is the PG13 vs R so different if you literally edited it the way you saw fit without studios telling you what to cut?
Snyder cultists are mad everyone is trolling them for how bad this movie is - f*** them and their feelings, they consistently attack James Gunn on social media, well here's your payback

My ultrawide broke in the mail apparently so amazon said they will be refunding me my money so I ordered another one with a 1000R curve. I want a 57 inch ultrawide though so I can easily do stuff like this with hockey games for example.

2024 is going to be a weird year for me, I already left work and was consulting for a fee which still had me work a lot more than I had wanted, but now with investments and properties, I am done working and can sit back and just work on hobbies and projects I’ve always wanted to do which feels weird. I knew I would get to this point and was at it for a few years but was so afraid of being stuck in the “I make a lot now I sit around and I am depressed with no purpose but I can’t be mad because I make $” which is just dumb. Everyone needs a purpose.
Focus now is starting a family, finally doing things that make me happy Vs just doing things that make my wife happy and being happy through her.
I think there should be a law, dogs you rescue, the new family should get at least 2hrs with the abusers in a room where laws are off the table and no camera, so we can enact some revenge on behalf of the animal. Because the shit I want to do to the people that hurt Turbo….oh boy.
In any case, love seeing pics of your sentient mop.

Our rescue, Turbo, i know we really didn’t get a proper read on her age from the shelter, the guess was maybe 6-7yrs old, but we figured it was closer to 8-9. We’ve had her for about 2.5yrs now and the gray hairs on her head make me sad. I love this runt so much and I hate to think most of her life was spent in a shitty situation.

yeah talk about scum. Someone left our younger pup (3 now) and her brother in box on the side of the road when they were essentially newborn in the middle of west virginia. Like wtf. You already packed them up into the car, just go to a damn shelter at least. wtf is wrong with people.

It’s been a long time coming. I think for a long time I did things that I worked hard at being good at and made a great career out of it, but never really took the time to do things that made me happy, which is weird to think about. I just want to do something that I am passionate about and I guess for a long time I just kept working to create a life in which I can do this now, this past year I did a lot of travelling and this next year there’s more of it so that’s one thing I am “catching up“ on.
Japan
Going home to Birmingham/Leicester to visit family (might spend a month there and just travel all around the UK, spend a week in Ireland as well)
Bali, Indonesia - Have a very good mate there that I have neglected visiting and he’s married and has a kid now so he needs the time to do dumb guy things big time lol.
In between that the usual trips - see family in Pittsburgh & SD, then staying more at our places in Seattle and Portland. There’s also a “drive around the US in an RV” trip my wife really wants to do that I am working up the courage to say ok yes let’s do it. Driving an RV seems like a nightmare.
Turbo has an entire wardrobe, just fair warning, once you go down this path mate, you will suddenly have 4 rain jackets, 3 fleece jackets, a gray jacket, a black jacket, 5 sweaters, 3 Christmas sweaters, 5 hanky’s to tie around their neck, some hockey jerseys, and Halloween costumes….

Adorable pup. Yeah it’s like Ok you got a dog and it didn’t fit your life or you realized you couldn’t handle the responsibilities, take it to a shelter and let them be re-homed. The ones that abuse dogs, zero sympathy for them, they should serve time and receive a massive fine for that bullshit. Just because it’s an animal doesn’t make their lives less important than ours.

Gilpin crushes in Glow, Brie just sort of plays more of the same, but as @Pens1566 mentions, she’s nice to look at in Glow. Also in that movie I mentioned, but it’s her shrill voice that just grinds me a little. Community, I think I gave up on that show after the 2nd season. I am fine with that.
Mrs Davis, I got into it for 3 episodes and it’s definitely a very weird show, something I am going to re-visit even if the second season hasn’t been greenlit yet, but if it hasn’t been cancelled yet then there’s a chance. It’s hard to say with these shows, the weird ones you get into and like and then it gets cancelled and you are so invested in it and now it’s like wtf.
Fargo, 4 episodes in I just stopped, I think all episodes are out now? I might just rewatch that current season from the start again. True Detective coming back will be nice, not so sure about the premise of the new season though.

I like community, but not as much as some people. It’s super inconsistent imo, but hilarious at its best.
I never actually finished glow I don’t think but liked what I watched. Mrs Davis does look super weird which does worry me about cancellation.
I'm 5 episodes into Fargo S5 and I like it. Still not 1 or 2, but I think it's on par with 3. Which I know I liked more than you did. I skipped 4.
Reviews of True Detective's new season are good from what I've seen. I haven't watched since half-way through 2 when I just didn't care at all and quit. I've heard 3 is solid, just never got to it.

The funny thing is Creator is mediocre at best. Has an interesting premise and the visuals are better.
Rebel Moon is so bad that average movies are vastly superior.

First time posting here...decided to join in on the nerd discussion. Took a long break from gaming but am now getting back into it. Recently built a new top of the line PC a few months ago (Luckily I was able to snag a 4090 right before prices went bonkers again).
Anyhow...About to finish RDR2 and move onto another game in my hefty Steam backlog. Leaning toward a shorter game to cleanse my pallet. Trying to decide between Dead Space remake or Evil Within 2. Anybody have any thoughts about these games? I heard Dead Space is pretty great but it is an older game so not sure if the mechanics hold up. Evil Within 2 has good reviews but didn't play the 1st one so not sure if I'll like it. I don't have a ton of time to game, so trying to make sure I don't waste time on games I don't really enjoy.
