Mario Wonder is fun. One of those pick up and play, have a blast and not worry about what part you were at when you don't play after a week.

The story comes together better at the end of act two and intro to act 3 I think. Not that it stops being weird as f*** but it gets better explained@Ogrezilla oh man... I got to Ketheric and he was all kind of submissive and on one knee saying he got beat by me before fighting, but only because of the gods.... I thought he was going to submit and I told him about his loving wife and daughter (??? I read in his / her letters and all) and thought he was done in, then all the sudden lady damsyl or whatever her daughter of a god name or whatever she is came in and he got pissed and put up one heck of a fight. RIGHT before his death he bitch slapped shadow heart off the top of the temple and she landed a floor or two down, DEAD
I saw the tentacle monster before (and stuck my elbow into the hole (and subsequently dislocated my shoulder pulling it away)) but I didn't know Ketheric could control it by mimic.... I wonder what would've been if I didn't pull my arm out and it wanted me to connect with her / it...
Now I have phase two of the battle ( I suppose )... I have to follow him/it down the tube from the roof of the temple.
I'm kind of confused I guess you can say with the whole detailed points of the story other than the tadpole in my brain. Not clueless but just... not so sure I know what is going on
Also, quick point of mention--I read notes in balthazar's room and saw how he got the goblins or orc's to follow the absolute, that was pretty cool to find out (even though you can kind of put it together without reading that)
That helps a bit haha... that I'm not semi-lost because I've put 200 hours (total running time) into it and its spanning, what three months now. Easy to get lost in a detail from 80 days ago =P (or however long its been out). The story comes together better at the end of act two and intro to act 3 I think. What do people honestly expect from Bethesda? Literally every single game since Fallout 3 is the same exact thing. THAT is their thing.Late to the party but I was super disappointed with Starfield. Horribly bland main story and aside from maybe one of the faction quests, mediocre to bland sidequests.
Bethesda spent like a decade making this game and it looks like a game literally made in 2013, not 2023.
I don't rate their previous games' stories very highly, but Starfield managed to be much, much worse than even FO4 when it comes to main story/side story quests. What do people honestly expect from Bethesda? Literally every single game since Fallout 3 is the same exact thing. THAT is their thing.
Do you want to place bets on what Elder Scrolls VI will be like? It's easy money.
And I heard every outpost you could ever find is never not inhabited by space piratesI don't rate their previous games' stories very highly, but Starfield managed to be much, much worse than even FO4 when it comes to main story/side story quests.
And honestly, the thing Bethesda usually does well -- open world sandbox with interesting exploration when you come across a random town/cave/settlement -- they did poorly in Starfield. Trekking across barren planets with literally nothing to do between Point A and Point B didn't help.
I get why it seems like it would be a great idea up front, but there's really no way to do it justice as a true open space universe while also not feeling just empty and soulless. If they wanted some "alien" worlds maybe they'd be better off doing some extradimensional stuff instead. Maybe a few dimensions like a hellish doom world, etc. I think that could still be a massive scale but also something feasible to make feel unique and lived in.And I heard every outpost you could ever find is never not inhabited by space pirates
Yeahhhh... using space as an open world background was never in Bethesda's favor and you'd have to think that they knew it the whole time.
Yeah, it just is not easy, few developers nailed the space setting (among aaa big boys).I get why it seems like it would be a great idea up front, but there's really no way to do it justice as a true open space universe while also not feeling just empty and soulless. Space is just so hard to do in a way that is fun but still registers as "realistic". The vast vast majority should be barren and empty, but that's just not fun. And when you can theoretically explore even a single full planet the scale is just going to get out of whack almost immediately.

That's the fight where I learned how ridiculous my paladin/warlock combo was on Wyll@Ogrezilla
Just met the big three!
Ketheric, Orin, darn... and the other guy =P
That dame got herself imprisoned again... I mean, come on!

I'm kind of nervous. That's the fight where I learned how ridiculous my paladin/warlock combo was on Wyll![]()
I didn’t quite do that, but i killed phase two of it without it getting a turn mostly with two crit smites@Ogrezilla
Ketheric has fallen.... huzzah!
So strategically placed my troops before the battle that I took out every single enemy before their turn, minus Ketheric bones![]()
Two crit smites! I haven't even used wyll but his father was there and he got wormed =PI didn’t quite do that, but i killed phase two of it without it getting a turn mostly with two crit smites![]()
Yeah the bloodlust elixirs are crazy good. My main was a frenzy barbarian with three fighter levels for action surge and higher crit chance, so he could attack twice, action surge for two more, bonus attack from frenzy, then if he killed something attack again. All with advantage from reckless swing. Eventually he had an item that gave even more crit chance too, or if I didn't have the bloodlust potions I used the ones that gave higher crit chance. He was a menace lolTwo crit smites! I haven't even used wyll but his father was there and he got wormed =P
So I kind've wished I had him there to witness that hah hah... Karlach has smites through her weapons which I never end up using.
I was going to rare spell ice wall the big boney bastard but of course he had ice resistance...
I wasn't too worried about many of them, but I used the teleport to help dame aylin or whatever her name is. Karlach went to the necromite's or whatever (she has bloodlust elixir (on kill get action point back --and subsequent extra attack -- which is an OP elixir when you have two fighters with that) I went after the necro's first when I read the 'examine' on the monster it said he can consume a necro to unlock some smite spell that was roughly 10-60 dmg
Used Lae'zel to teleport and kill the mind flayer, then action surge (two more moves) then bloodlust elixir then threw a smokepowder canister at the 4 brains below. done.
Ketheric wasn't really too tough. Kept SH back and chain lightning her with destructive wrath... and lady dame was just smiting him to ribbons. I had had lae'zel push up to melee, and securing victory lead to level 10 and a punched ticket one way to baldurs gate
I think I hit 190 hours... act iii is in my grasp.
How long is act iii compared to act i / act ii?
I actually put subtitles on a lot of the time these days. Sound mixing just seems to wonky a lot of the time. That said, I don't know your accent. I don't usually have trouble, but I tried an audiobook with a British narrator last week and I normally listen to books at 1.5x speed, but that sure as hell wasn't happeningYou know it's hurtful that my wife wants subtitles on when we sat down to watch Slow Horses. Makes me wonder how much of my accent confuses her.

Mate she was born and raised in the US. Somehow the "British accent" as she calls it, is hard for her in shows and movies. Yet somehow she understands me in my brummie accent.Welcome to multicultural married life, man.My wife does the same and her English is great. Dialects are just tough for non-native speakers.

2I honestly don’t remember how long act three took in game time. A while though. Like I said it took me longer because it was jumpier just the way things flow since there are so many things so densely packed in the city. There is a lot to do if you get involved with everyone. There was only one quest I knowingly didn't complete that I came across. And I tried. I got to the end and found out I needed some item from a different area that I didn't do, or at least didn't do properly to get the item I needed.
