Not digging the current Fargo season. I haven't liked the last 3 really, including this one. The first 2 were amazing.

I got caught up and I am a big fan so far. Not sure I think it's at S1 or S2 level but it's very good and I can't wait to keep going.

My wife has a new laptop that has a touch screen, which I always felt was gimmicky and I used hers for a bit and just can't do it, I don't know about you lot, but I wear glasses and smudges drive me nuts, so imagining smudges all over my f***ing screen just gives me anxiety and anger.

So I stick to my MBP and Ipad Pro for the touch screen with my apple pencil, both connect seamlessly and allow me to do different tasks, but touch screen...why is tech still trying to make that a f***ing thing with laptops?

At best, I wish they'd just work on better f***ing batteries.

I loved GTAV, it allowed me to stay in touch with my mates back in the UK, US, Japan, and Indonesia, we'd all have to figure out which time worked best because of the time zones, but it was a hell of a lot of fun, usual dicks when we'd drop each other off at our apartments in the game and then the one mate would say "Hey, lets take your car! So you can drive" so you'd drive a new ride you got in the game while you're shooting the shit on head sets then while you drop your mate off, he sticks a C4 bomb on your ride and blows your ass up and then laughs and signs off...

Good times.

I think that game has one massive problem with chaotic users online and cheating, which Rockstar has never fixed in that, but in RDR2, it was less mayhem online.

I do wish GTAVI puts in more hours for the Campaign mode, the GTAV one was super long to begin with, with 3 different main characters, but I think the new one should be twice as long with a ton more side missions.

I haven’t played a gta since vice city. I enjoyed the original or maybe 2 on PlayStation and played the hell out of 2 and vice city. Not really sure why I never played the rest of them. Well San Andreas came out two months into college and I just didn’t play single player games there I guess. And I guess 4 and 5 came out on consoles I don’t have I guess and I just never went back to them when they released on pc. So I guess I do know why.

Anyway this new one looks cool but probably ends up in a similar boat. I’ll miss the hype while it’s on console only and then forget about it for the pc release. But maybe I shouldn’t because I bet I’d really enjoy it.

Actually I think I own 4 or 5 or both. At least one of them was free in the epic store at some point I think.

Man is VR trippy. I can type on these boards or somewhere else or just read them and it looks like the words are popping out at me in some 3D effect and I can move my head and try and see behind the words (nope, I can't I just run my head into the monitor like a moron). Apparently it can last a week and I should enjoy it while it lasts. This also includes random items in my room.

@Ugene Magic update from the powers that be, no eta for fixing images. Issue is on imgur's end. Problem is our host IT is in Mexico and imgur is in the UK. So its taking a long time for them to reply to each other. Known issue and they are hoping it will be resolved in the coming days.

You know, I am ok with remakes if the original at the time was ok and could be better with new technology and better writing.

But to remake Willy Wonka twice, really? Who gives a f***? The original will always be the best. Not even creepy ass weirdo Depp made Wonka come to life better than Gene Wilder, not even the current dipshit to date a Kardashian will make it better than Wilder did. So why the f*** do they keep doing this? It can't be financially worth it to keep making inferior shit from a beloved original that still destroys it each time can it?

Also, that f***wad Jared Leto still attached to the new Tron movie irks me a great deal, more than I want it to. I despise the actor and he's a bigger pos in real life. It's funny that Disney is dropping turds left and right with all of their franchises and companies, they felt Joseph Kosinski wasn't the right bloke for the third movie after doing well on the 2nd one, so he said f*** you and made Top Gun Maverick, which was a box office beast and helped really bring audiences back into theatres.

I am glad Zemeckis and Gale made it so no one can make a new BTTF movie until they die, I hope I am dead too when they do, I don't want to live in a world where they make a woke ass version of that movie with idiotic casting choices just to be diverse for the forced purpose of being diverse, like that Percy Jackson show.

Apparently a fair bit, I asked a mate that went a couple of months ago and also went in 2019 and 2020 (that full quarantine stuff etc), quite a few places that he would have loved to revisit from 2020 to 2023 has changed, the annoying bit is he won't tell me what because "there's no point, it's gone..."

One was this massive arcade place that closed during the pandemic shutdown years, that he said my geriatric gaming ass would have found exhilarating, well shit.

I'll just assume Japan IRL is 100% like any anime I've ever seen so my advice would be stay away from anyone with pink, purple, blue, or green spiky hair because they will be where the shit goes down.

I was there in September 2019, so a lot has surely changed. Where are you planning on visiting, @Honour Over Glory?

Kyoto is stunningly gorgeous and obviously worth visiting. Osaka is the ugliest awesome city I've ever been to. Ugly in a uniquely Japanese way, mind you, but the best way I can describe it is different shapes of concrete, rust, and neon jutting in every possible direction. Kawaii brutalism. I largely stuck to Dōtonbori because Dōtonbori is glorious. Tokyo could fill a multi-week vacation on its own...was a great place to strike out with a goal in mind and otherwise just go with the flow. Pick something you recognize from a game/movie/anime and head in that direction. There's going to be a million things to see and do pretty much anywhere.

The rest of my trip was primarily in Hokkaidō, which I thoroughly recommend. Incredibly gorgeous. Sapporo is a great city that has an incredibly jarring Western influence (especially right after visiting Kyoto). Also visited Hakodate, Otaru, and Noboribetsu onsen. Amazing whisky. The only downside is that the Shinkansen won't reach Sapporo until 2030...it took roughly the same amount of time to travel from Osaka to Hakodate as it did to go from Hakodate to Sapporo on a normal train. Still infinitely nicer than any train on this continent.

Signage on the trains has been multilingual since the 2019 Rugby World Cup; so getting around solely using trains was a breeze.

Speaking of...Kamurochō is a damn-near 1:1 of Kabukichō in Tokyo.
