With their 3rd pick in the 2nd round, the Montreal Canadiens are proud to select from EHC München

LW Julian Lutz

Julian-Lutz.jpg

Going into the draft, we felt like Julian was a potential 1st round talent. However due to a fatigue fracture in his lumbar spine, he missed 7 months of hockey. However, he has looked great since returning including a decent WJC leading the German team in scoring. Big body, great skater and good forechecker. His hockey IQ is underrated as he finds his way into the slot and opens space up for his teammates.

1 - (1) Shane Wight RC
1 - (26) Liam Ohgren LW
2 - (33) Tristan Luneau RD
2 - (44) Seamus Casey RD
2 - (62) Julian Lutz LW

@scott57 off to the rangers with their pick!

Nice pick. Was considering him at 54. Very curious to see where he actually goes in the draft given his year.

I have a three man list remaining for my pick at 69.

Five picks between now and mine.

I don't need to dig and put together a deeper one right now....right?

After a quick and dirty review of the past seven drafts (Chaotic didn't participate in the first)...

@ChaoticOrange describes himself as a value drafter with a lean towards skill and high motors.
All in all, I’m pretty happy with my draft. I felt like I got solid value for basically every pick and generally went for guys that have high motors and lots of skill.

He's only drafted two goaltenders, however both with Top-100 picks.

Todays DRAFTLE. Can we get his three players before he does in five moves? :naughty:

Tidy haul for AZ, they'll show well in that intimate venture in Phoenix.

Happy I didn't have to dig any deeper and find someone else to draft.

The Flyers are pleased to select centre Bryce McConnell-Barker from the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL.

5. D Simon Nemec
69 C Bryce McConnell-Barker
