Old Forge PA is the “pizza capital of the world”
End of discussion.
Also Maroni's in South Side, Scranton, is great.
Sorry, New York, you'll always be #2.

They have amazing potato salad. Its like hash browns or home fries. I love that they encouraged me to take a huge to go plate. Some people say there are better places in Austin but I really enjoyed Salt Lick the 2 times I went.My favorite BBQ place in the US.
Very hit or miss. Arcaro & Genelli was very good.
This however.... is a trajedy....American cheese on pizza is a crime against humanity...

So.... Sabatini's is my family.Arcaro’s is good, nice atmosphere too and Italian beer on tap, cannolis are huge haha
Revello’s across the street is decent
I like the double crust white from Colarusso’s Cafe in Avoca personally
Sabatini’s in Exeter is great as well
What? That’s crazy, small worldSo.... Sabatini's is my family.
Literally.
Cousins.
Sad I tells ya. Also, why is the cheese so yellow?
Round Up. Cold Spring. So good.Details.
I've had BBQ in one place in NY that I've liked and that was out in Red Hook (Hometown BBQ)
NC BBQ is awesome as well....for those in the Charlotte area, I'd put Midwood Smokehouse up against any other place....
TX BBQ has both.Charlotte here. I like midwood a lot, but most natives here will say nothing inside the city limits is good and you need to find some rat-hole halfway up the mountains to get "real" BBQ.
In general NC/SC BBQ > Texas BBQ, mostly because Pork is better for BBQ than Beef is.

Some say good BBQ doesn't need sauce.how is it possible that every single image of their food looks dryer than week old dog shit?
ever been to skylight inn bbq in ayden, nc? the hog sandwich!!! they have a real good bbq sauce.Charlotte here. I like midwood a lot, but most natives here will say nothing inside the city limits is good and you need to find some rat-hole halfway up the mountains to get "real" BBQ.

I’ve been there, the Salt Lick is amazingLine at Salt Lick BBQ outside Austin is 200 long at 11am on Saturdays
Because the cheese melts into the sauce. It’s amazing.Sad I tells ya. Also, why is the cheese so yellow?
In all seriousness though, you like what you like. It doesn't diminish the enjoyment for me that you like something different better.

Aome pwople swear by Blacks which is near Austin as well. But for my money the food and ambiance is better at salt lick. Their seasonings and bbq sauce is the best. I cant wait till i am there again in November. I can taste itThey have amazing potato salad. Its like hash browns or home fries. I love that they encouraged me to take a huge to go plate. That's Provel cheese.. Half provolone half Velveeta. Do with that information as you wish.Sad I tells ya. Also, why is the cheese so yellow?

I just googled Mr Bruno's. That Sicilian is right up my alley. Wish I was closer. How dare people talk about hockey in the pizza thread.
Anyone had Mr. Bruno’s Sicilian slices? Heaven
Midwood’s original location in plaza mid wood is legit. Best brisket in the Southeast.NC BBQ is awesome as well....for those in the Charlotte area, I'd put Midwood Smokehouse up against any other place....
I assume you got the all you can eat. The first time I went they encouraged us to take some home. I was so beyond full that I didn't take any home. Then I regretted that dumb move all weekend. The second time I went I didn't make that mistake again. Probably took home 3-5 pounds of ribs, sausage and their awesome home fry type potato salad.Thee difference is the seasonings used. Not meat. Texas uses more pepper based seasoning and dry rubs. NC is vinegar based and is not nearly as good.
And beef ribs (especially bison) are amazing. And brisket is king!

BBQ isn't my favorite because so many places screw it up, but when it's good it's delicious. The better BBQ I've had were places that were rubbed & smoked....sauce on the side.
