Just more annoyed here given the checking Vax cards, but with no mask enforcement, you're making it forever for people to get into the building and for no good reason.

Also the bag policy - can't even bring a laptop bag post work.

Why are they making it more difficult to go, when the couch is so much easier.

Honestly I wouldn't even waste my time showing the vaccine card even though I have one, there's no benefit to it besides not having to wear a mask on the way in, it's pointless.

The no bags thing was actually before covid too, they had those lockers installed outside some of the entrances during the 19-20 season I think they might have just changed the sizes even more now. I definitely understand the frustration for people coming straight from work. I never have to use it but I know the Red Bulls have a bag check for people that I believe is free, I'm not sure if the lockers for the Devils are still there or not or if they cost anything.

The no bag thing is annoying if only cause I used to carry a plastic bag just to put everything in during the metal detector part of the entry, but I guess if it's universal whatever...just another excuse to make the security wait longer like the phony baloney COVID 'policy'.

Update from my rep on the food/beverage cards and on the Rewards Program: F/B cards had a shipping delay, but will be in by the end of October. Rewards Program has been revamped and will also be announced by the end of October.

So what bars are there now besides Redd's?
  • Taj Lounge 973 - https://www.tajloungenj.com/ - it's where the old Brick City Bar & Grill used to be. More recently, this space was PJ Ryan's.
  • Three Levels Lounge - no website - I forget what this place used to be called but it's like a block south of the arena on Mulberry St.
  • Novelty Burger - noveltyburger.com - this one has been around for a while on Market Street
  • Bello's Pub & Grill - no website - located opposite side of the train station from the arena. Probably one of my favorite pre-game spots, but can get crowded.

Also the bars inside the arena at both ends of the rink.

We usually go to Redd’s if we have time.

Just got an email about the rewards program, there's an app now too and ways to earn more points.

Is the Wi-Fi password at the Rock still a state secret?

I think so, I legit don't even remember what it was cause I got a new phone since I was there last.

You would think with trying to push everyone to mobile tickets only that they could install some public wifi

At my previous gig, had a meeting with their CTO, that was almost 2+ years ago, kinda shocked they hadn't done the Public Router system yet.

I actually like the app so far, it’s easy to pile up a chunk of points, especially with some of their mini questions that basically just reward you for watching the game lol, it’ll help keep me occupied during stoppages the games I go solo.

Yeah I like it too, didn't bother with the mini questions last night but might do it going forward. I don't always watch live and sometimes like to just keep the phone away but definitely an easy way to rake up points between the check ins and that.

Those plastic bracelets they gaveaway really should be axed. It's an absolute waste of money and the vast majority are being tossed right into the garbage. Just doesn't seem worth the waste for people to use them for a whopping like 3 minutes during the pre-game with some flashing lights.

Speaking of beer what was with the concessions last night? The craft beer stand by section 12 was closed and the few beer stands that were open were poorly stocked, by the mid of second period they either ran out of beer or had crap left, I had to settle for a Bud Light, first time I drank one in over 10 years.

Saw some comments that that's more about low supplies being a thing in a lot of places over anything else. Could be they are rationing some of it to have x amount per game.

Anybody check out that new whiskey joint on Edison last night? I didn't think it was open but it apparently was.

Things like this should be fixed instead of left to look like this, click on the picture to see the whole thing, it doesn't show the full picture here...

I've never seen these before so maybe it's new but it looks absolutely disgusting...

So for those that went on Friday, how was the experience overall? I'm going tomorrow with my buddy and just want to be prepared as best as possible either way.

I'm fully vaccinated but plan on wearing a mask the entire time.

I didn't go but know a few who did and read a ton of comments, it went exactly as we all expected, the policy is a joke. The vast majority not wearing masks and a lot are taking them off as soon as they get in and security isn't caring about checking the vaccine cards, not like there's any point in checking them anyway.

You can read some comments on here from some njdevs posters who went if you're interested...
