I feel terrible for the underpaid staff that will possibly have to enforce this. I say if they're checking for vaccination status, they can put wristbands on those that are and if you're not wearing one you can be ejected for not wearing a mask.

Wonder how they'll enforce #2, since I'm sure most people who fall in that category will just rip their mask off the second they're through security and never put it back on.

Bingo. Without a negative covid test or proof of vaccination this is still fairly worthless. Or a mask policy except while actively eating and drinking

ENTRY POLICY:
In order to enter Prudential Center, patrons ages 12 and up must (1) present proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status (via display of an actual vaccination card, a complete picture of the card, or an online digital vaccination record) or (2) wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times unless actively eating or drinking.
  • Children under 12 may enter the venue so long as they wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times unless actively eating or drinking.
  • For complete Prudential Center health and safety protocols, please go to PruCenter.com/safety.

Meh, just read it. Half assed policy.

We've had our shots but I just canceled and requested a refund.

We simply will not support prolonging exclusionary policies.

Nice of them to announce this just before the season begins, clown show.

Yeah they should at least add in you need proof of a negative test if unvaccinated, that would be more impactful than a loose mask policy and easier to enforce.

How is the staff at Pru Center suppose to actively enforce option B.....specifically the mask part.

They aren't. That's the trick. They are pretending.

I'm sure that'll go over well.

Call your reps. I said I'm not coming under these current protocols. There are options to roll over your entire season and keep your seats or you can even take it month to month if you want.

Also I can confirm they are not giving out wrist bands so under this current policy you can literally wear a mask in and simply take it off which is why it's an absolutely do nothing policy.

It should be vaccine proof only or vaccine proof / negative tests but maybe we'll get there eventually now.

Yeah I can’t defend this policy rollout. Completely botching it by not having communicated this a while ago, and not having it be the policy for pre-season. What are they doing over there??

Pretending to all of a sudden care when this new policy literally does absolutely nothing. As as soon as an unvaccinated person walks in they will take off their mask. On paper it looks like they did something but in reality they did nothing.

Certainly seems like they see ticket sales weren't doing as well as they expected so they tried to do "something" but apparently think we are all stupid enough to believe that this new policy actually does anything different.

With no wrist bands being handed out there's no reason to even waste your time at all showing your vaccine card when you can just walk in with a mask on and then take it off whenever.

So first the devils weren’t doing a policy now they do one and it’s not enough?

This is literally a nothing policy. You can walk in with a mask on and just take it off. There's literally no point in showing a vaccination card. We talked about security theater before and this is even worse than anything we discussed in terms of theater.

The part I don't get is that the policy doesn't address anyone's concerns (on either side of the vaccination/mask issue), while possibly alienating more people than having no policy at all.

1. For those who are vaccinated and don't want to be around unvaccinated/unmasked people, this does nothing (as there is no enforcement mechanism on the mask "mandate" portion of the policy
2. For those who are not vaccinated (for whatever reason), they are made to feel "targeted" ... and how long until someone texts the arena "security hotline" to insist that they check the vaccination status of unmasked person.
3. (and this ties heavily into 1.) - I think many parents with children under the age of 12 will be leery of bringing their kids to the arena with these policies; some may even be hesitant to go if they have young children at home.

My kids are all grown, so I can't say how I would feel ... although having my 23-year old diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes shortly after contracting COVID, I would probably err on the side of caution if I had a child who could not be vaccinated.

This policy would make sense if they had vaccinated and unvaccinated sections in the arena. It would make it a lot easier to enforce. The Knicks and Nets did this in the playoffs back in the spring so it's possible.

Question for season ticket holders: where do you access the parking passes through the app? This is my first year (and probably only one for a while) as a STH. I chose my 10 games I require passes for and they said they could be accessible today I just can’t locate them.

Much appreciated.

unfortunately I don’t remember exactly how I set it up because it was years ago but how I access my ticket and parking passes is through the NHL app.

I go to the app and click on “manage tickets” in the tickets section of the app.

It opens up a Ticketmaster instance which my season ticket account is linked to.

There I can see my tickets and passes. This year I’ve taken to loading those tickets into my apple wallet on my phone as I don’t totally trust the “live” tickets from Ticketmaster after a bad experience.

—————

So I’m going through the NHL app but the tickets are managed on Ticketmaster ultimately. If you have a problem, call your rep today and they’ll likely clear up any issue in a few hours since you won’t be the first person setting up for the first time.
