This line made me laugh in the gameday email today....

"Please allow time for security checks - allow at least 45 minutes to go through security. "

I understand it won't take that long but the fact they threw it in the email is hilarious.

It was more like 45 seconds hah. Then again there’s nobody here, my whole row, the row across from me and the row in front of me are totally empty and I’m not exactly in the upper corner. The seats directly behind me are empty too so social distancing isn’t exactly an issue today.

For concessions in the first intermission I used the new contactless ordering.

there was about a 30 person regular line. I ordered through the website in about a minute and had my food in another minute. The regular line had barely moved.

They’ll have to figure out how to handle the volume in the regular season but I think it’ll be nice a few games into the season.

It’ll be a shitshow early when people start to realize the whole no cash rule. I don’t get it apart from the obvious eyewash claiming health and safety but you should be offering more ways to pay, not less.

The health thing is part of it, but tbh likely just such a pain in the ass to reconcile all the cash at the end of the night, losses, and managing all the cash circulating around, not too mention the costs of slippage, time counting it, and then getting it out the door. Brinks is expensive. It's cost cutting.

First game back to the prudential center in over a year. I parked in my normal location 1 mulberry center cost to park is $13. I walked to novelty burger at 530. Good burger and quick service. Walking into the rock felt normal like pre Covid. As I was making my way to sales rep area a father and son were unsure what the mask policy is. Good part the sales rep informed me their is a ticket holder celebration downstairs. Mini sliders wraps cookies beer soda and water was available. I have to admit even for a preseason game that was the best team performance in years. My only suggestion for ownership to have a health station outside if a fan wants a temp check/Covid test/Covid shot. I have to wear a mask inside since my job requires a monthly Covid test and daily temperature check otherwise I enjoyed myself and I will return for opening night.

i forget the actual reason maybe since this was my first year as a Full STH holder. I did not get any communication about this event before the game.

The one thing that felt different for me was my fear level was very low. It probably was due to the small crowd. It will change opening night. I was allowed to bring in my small hand sanitizer bottle. My plan will be to eat dinner at home or at a restaurant near the arena. Only take off my mask to drink water. This is our new normal and I realize last night I can still enjoy hockey games while being safe inside

Sat in the lofts last night for the first time and had a very nice experience. Highly recommend if you come across a cheap set of tickets or are invited by clients/etc

Anyone else having issues posting games for sale in the app? I can click on tickets to sell, put a price but then nothing happens when I click payment method. I made sure the NHL app is updated too.

I don't have any problems posting for sale on an internet browser, it's just the app.

October 15, 2021 - Home Opener presented by Prudential (vs. Chicago at 7:00 p.m. ET) - When the Devils kick off the regular season, all fans in attendance will receive a PixMob Wristband courtesy of Prudential. Make sure to arrive early to catch a special pregame show featuring the giveaway item.

November 16, 2021 - Video Game Night (vs. Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. ET) - Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a Ty Smith Video Game Night t-shirt through a special ticket link released closer to the game date. For general fans in attendance, there will be video game and esports in-bowl features throughout the evening.

November 28, 2021 - Hockey Fights Cancer (vs. Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. ET) - Prudential Center turns lavender when the Devils host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night in partnership with RWJBarnabas Health to help raise money to combat cancer. There will be ways to get involved and support the cause released closer to the night.

December 10, 2021 - Persons with Disabilities (vs. Nashville at 7:30 p.m. ET) - The Devils will partner with local organizations to celebrate all those who play the sport of hockey during their December 10th game.

December 19, 2021 - Star Wars Night (vs. Pittsburgh at 7:00 p.m. ET) - The first 9,000 fans through doors this night will receive a Star Wars Winter Hat giveaway item to commemorate the Devils' Star Wars experience at the Rock. There will be dozens of characters on the concourse, theme music and game presentation elements.

January 22, 2022 - Pride Night (vs. Carolina at 7:00 p.m. ET) - Celebrate Pride at the Rock during this Saturday matchup at Prudential Center. Fans will have the opportunity to get involved and support the cause with various fundraising activities and more.

February 28, 2022 - Black History Celebration (vs. Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. ET) - The Devils will celebrate Black History Month with special in-game features, exclusive content, fundraising activities and more during this Monday night puck drop at Prudential Center.

March 6, 2022 - Youth Hockey Day presented by RWJBarnabas Health (vs. St. Louis at 1:00 p.m. ET) - The team will celebrate the sport of hockey in New Jersey with a game dedicated to youth hockey players. Courtesy of RWJBarnabas Health, the first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a Jack Hughes Bobblehead.

March 8, 2022 - Gender Equality Night (vs. Colorado at 7:00 p.m. ET) - Celebrate Gender Equality Month at the Rock where the Devils will highlight the importance of gender inclusion in the sport of hockey and within the organization, building upon initiatives led by the National Hockey League to support gender equality throughout the sport at all levels.

March 10, 2022 - Zajac 1,000th Game Recognition (vs. Winnipeg at 7:00 p.m. ET) - The Devils will honor Travis Zajac on his NHL career and playing 1,000 NHL games as a Devil/in the NHL during this Thursday night matchup. There will be a special Silver Stick Capsule Giveaway to commemorate the night and his career.

March 12, 2022 - St. Patrick's Day (vs. Anaheim at 7:00 p.m. ET) - The Rock will turn green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and the first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a Mackenzie Blackwood bobblehead courtesy of Investors Bank.

March 27, 2022 - Military Appreciation Night presented by Prudential (vs. Montreal at 7:00 p.m. ET) - The Devils and their fans honor our troops during this Sunday night matchup. The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a military-inspired hat courtesy of Prudential and there will be concourse activations, in-game features, and more.

April 2, 2022 and April 3, 2022 - Nickelodeon Weekend - The Devils will host back-to-back home games at the Rock but this weekend is all about Nickelodeon on the concourse! There will be exclusive activations for all ages and fans can purchase a special Nickelodeon t-shirt pack to celebrate the weekend.

April 24, 2022 - Top Gun Night (vs. Detroit at 1:00 p.m. ET) - The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a Top Gun Bobblehead courtesy of MSG Networks. Fans will experience a Top Gun in-game takeover in celebration of Top Gun 2 being released in theaters in May 2022.

Looking at MSG for the Rangers home opener next week thousands of blue unsold dots also remain.

Ya think? Let's be honest here. The team has sucked big time the past few seasons other than the 2017-18 season so there's minimal interest for the casual fan to attend a game, there are still COVID concerns, and who the f*** is going to pay $73 to sit in the back row upstairs in 232?

I know several full season ticket holders who opted out for this season, they are allowed to keep their tenure and carry over their money to next season but there's no guarantee their seats will be held for them but the odds of other people jumping on board and taking their seats are slim to none anyway.

Also know one person who got a full refund for their seats and read about a few others doing the same.

All of this is related to the Devils having nothing in place protocol wise.

Personally I won't be attendance for awhile myself either despite being a long term full season ticket holder. The team made their bed on this front and they can lie in it now.

Woof, although if it’s really that bad ironically I’m now a lot less concerned about going to games. This is the one season I’m hoping they don’t sell squat, at least until there are more stringent health and safety policies

For anyone who used the Buy Back Program on last night's cancelled game, they'll just apply that credit to your next renewal in 2022 (same as if the game had happened). Admittedly, that's not the best solution IMO. I would rather get a refund on the game and then have another buy back to use during the regular season on a game that probably has a higher price. But whatever. I have 1 season ticket this year so it's not a huge deal to me.

I still haven't heard anything about the Rewards Program benefit that I selected in 2020. Reviewed the email that I sent about it, and they only replied back with my food/beverage credits that I got as a Thank You for keeping my money with the team during the pandemic. I just found out my rep's name for the season so I may need to press him on it because I had been banking points for years and was ready to start cashing in.

Uhhh.. that's news to me. I asked my rep if there's an opt out this season, and she said no.

So either they're not telling you the truth, or we're getting conflicting information.

It's absolutely an option but they won't just offer it to you, you have to be a bit stern about saying you're not going. I can 100% confirm I know people who took the option to carry over to next season and others who took a refund as well and because it was presented to me as well.

Personally don't care what you do in terms of selling tickets but aren't you a Rangers fan? If so, do you sell off a lot of games? Because maybe they see you normally do that and that's also another reason they aren't giving you the option?

I personally think with no protocols in place that several options should have been offered to all season ticket holders and that they should reserve people's seats for next year, especially people who have been in those seats for a long time, some since the building opened. I'm starting to sound like I'm beating a dead horse but I am absolutely not happy with how the front office has handled this.
