Nice edit.

It would've negated it, because it would've never happened if they would've actually made the easy call on Rust.

That makes literally no sense. Do you really think that Weber wouldn't have mugged Rust if the ref would have called a penalty on Rust? That's just downright stupid. Do you really think Weber looked at the ref, saw that there was no penalty and decided to mug Rust and take a penalty?

This game is exactly why NO Capitals fan should ever wish to play the Pens in a playoff series. The series will be decided by the officials.

Just be nice to get the Caps in the playoffs on the same rest. Second straight time we've played on the second of a B2B with the Caps rested. And with no Geno.
They don´t have Carlson though. But yeah, you have to consider those B2Bs for the Pens. The last time it played a huge role in Caps comeback win. The series between these two teams would be something special. The Pens are playing them hard.

i just don't want to see anyone on the caps get hurt by that thug. they don't have anyone that can go with him

 Crosby would be in the hospital. The only way he fights is if a ref is in between.

Ref lost the puck and blew the whistle. Pens scored after the whistle was blown. Pretty textbook stuff. Of all the things to complain about, that's not one of them. No matter how much Crosby tries to bully the glass.

obviously the problem is an nhl ref lost sight of a loose puck so conveniently and easily. you understand the goal of reffing is to be able to follow the play at all times right

The puck wasn't covered, so it's completely justified to complain about that.

It actually makes perfect logical sense. If the play would've been blown dead immediately (Penguins had next possession), there's a good chance Weber doesn't rough him at all or perhaps only gets a matching penalty. Instead, the ref called a penalty with the Caps headed into the Penguins' zone, giving the Penguins a PP.

I don't know how he could have lost sight of the puck other than simply closing his eyes. That wasn't "textbook stuff", it was a horrible call and you know it.

Caps are so overrated. LOL 12 shots on a tired Pens team that played yesterday, this is supposed to be best team in the east by far????

Should've been 0 goals by them if Fleury didn't go full moron.

Yes, the Pens being screwed out of a goal means the refs will decide the series against the Capitals

The refs have just sucked tonight, plain and simple.

It doesn't matter who the calls favor, Caps or Pens, the players on the ice will not have the biggest say.
