It's kind of refreshing to see you of all posters getting nasty on the leafs. As you've truly defended them forever.

This is first time I have noticed leafs fans actually not being overly deluded.

That though scares me. Maybe this will be the year they get it together in playoffs (still doubt it)

Sens outplayed caps that first with nothing to show.

Would LOVE to be proven wrong. But this is the same team I have watched for a decade now.

Doersn't look like a head shot. Shoulder to shojulder.
It's one of those plays that needs to come out of the game. He's very clearly getting ready to shoot a puck.. that's stick on puck... Player is in a very, very vulnerable position and if it is shoulder first, it's a nano second.

Now you have a very serious head injury for no reason.

the NHL continues to do this the wrong way

Agreed. It is legal by the rules but it shouldn't be

Soft soft slash. These refs are now officiating scared in the Flyers game.

The NHL's best. Let the players decide the game and get out of the spotlight.

Correct call in the Islander game. Looked bad initially but clearly got him mostly in the shoulder.

To me, mostly in the shoulder and not all shoulder is still problematic. The result of the play speaks for itself...his head took the blow even if he caught some shoulder too. It was a really dangerous play and should be a major. I dont think there would be uproar if it had been called one. I wont be surprised if he gets fined either.

And if you wanna say its legal by the letter of the rules, then he at least needs to answer for it. Its not like a heavy weight wanted to fight him...it was Farabee. If he just accepts the fight everyone moves on.

IMO his head was not hit at all. The contact on the shoulder was enough to jar his head.

I agree on the point about accepting the fight with Farabee.

What has happened with the Caps man? In the beginning of the season they were so fun to watch, explosive and creative. The last couple weeks theyve turned into the Islanders shooting 15 shots a game, while still winning most games somehow.

I guess I just disagree. It's a fast physical game with fast physical players. You're never going to bring the risk of concussions down to 0. He hit him in the shoulder and his posture was the reason for the whiplash.

This I'm with you on. Definitely a hit you should be prepared to answer for.

Ridiculous penalty on Strome. Trying to make a play and the goalie comes 2 feet out of the crease and gets contact. Easy PP if the goalie can come out of the crease and get contact from skaters. Good to see Carbery giving it to these clowns.
