Wow, that's a few miles. Where you heading?

Columbus, Bowling Green (Kentucky), Nashville and Knoxville (Tennessee), Cornelius and Raleigh (North Carolina), Richmond and Roanoke (Virginia), DC, through Pittsburgh on the way back to Columbus, then back to Libertyville again!

Wow. That sounds like a great experience. Doing something like that alone would be pretty cool.
Whats the reason for the trip? Or just one of those "Why not!" things?

And a swing through Winnipeg right? :D :sarcasm:

But seriously, sounds awesome! Have a blast!

Well, I had told a couple of friends that I would go see them some time. I also want to check out a few colleges down there, as well as actually see the American south, even if it's not the deep south. So it went from just seeing a few friends, to contacting more friends just to stay with them, to starting planning to go see colleges, to planning a long ass road trip!

And yeah, it's definitely part "Why not!"

I have a coat!:D

 Need more than that. I'm sure you know though.

That reminds me a funny story. I was coming back from Florida one time in December and there was a mother and son on the plane as well (kid was maybe 8/9). The kid was soooo excited because he had never seen snow before. Walk off the plane it was around -30, maybe -35/-40 with the wind chill. I imagine they were in for a rude awakening

Alright, so I'm looking at a Dell touch screen laptop for $570, it's the one that caught my eye most so far. Looks like it will work fine for what I need.

They are trying to sell me a $25/month protection plan for 3 years. Total protection it says, but that seems like way to much.

This is from future shop.

Thoughts on the laptop and the protection plan?

Wow that is a lot. I got a bumper to bumper extra year bringing my full warranty up to 2 years on mine for $100. Totally worth it as laptops tend to be more delicate, especially the new ultra thin ones.

Urgh got Titanfall last week but I haven't even opened it yet. So desperate to try it out. Also went and got my pre-order on Watch Dogs for May. Cannot wait for that one!

So pumped for Watch Dogs!!! Been waiting a while for that one.

Currently in winnipeg...my gawd the pot holes! I've seen bombed out roads in Kandahar that were in better condition than Pembina hwy.

I hope the money that the province's vlts have collected from me go to filling at least one pot hole.

It's ridiculous. I live right on Stafford and Taylor and people have to zig-zag through the intersection avoiding potholes.

It's bruuuuutal at that corner.
Pembina near confusion corner is also a joke.

I thought the roads in Winnipeg were bad but man where I am at in Nova Scotia? Some of the secondary highways are scary.

Speaking of driving, I'm going by myself on an almost 2800 miles long road trip starting Saturday. It's gonna be me, a rented car and a whole bunch of audio books.

Road trips are friggin amazing. I went to LA twice and Florida twice from Winnipeg by car. So much fun! Even alone haha.

WARNING FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 (and maybe other Samsung) USERS!!!

I saw when I was home last night that there was a software update coming down for my phone. I was so excited when I checked it out and found it was Kit Kat (Os 4.4)

Really like the subtle changes but my radio is not working properly any more. By radio I mean the phone picks up the cell signal as normal, but its stops communicating with the network. You see you have signal but you stop being able to use data, get texts or make or take phone calls.

I had to do a friggin factory reset on my phone and it seems like others have had this problem with Kit Kat. Wait for a patch before installing it and save yourself some headaches!

Speaking of android's.

I have decided I will be getting the Sony Xperia Z2, but I can't find any details on Canadian release dates. It's due out in April, ugh I hope the wait isn't long as this ****** iPhone needs to go ASAP.

My wife did an update two nights ago and ever since her phone has been acting funny. Also, my brother-in-law did an update on his Samsung recently and had to take it into the store, think he ended up doing a factory reset too.

I updated to 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S4 a few nights ago. Afterwards, it was giving me a problem where it would go into sleep mode and not want to wake up for 20-30 seconds. After I rebooted the device, it works fine. I have a issue with the screen sizing not working properly now.

Exactly one of the issues my wife was/is having.

Even if it's not a martial asset it'll still be considered a monetary valued asset that will be assessed for equalization and determines spousal support. Just make sure you get it in writing thay she'll pay you for the tickets you're giving her

Lawyer says no. It isn't monetary just because it has to be paid yearly. Just like a lease on a car or rent on an apartment.

My only issue with the 4.4 update was that it would take forever to load up the phone so I could call someone. Everything else worked fine. After a restart the phone works fine too.

Yeah I am looking to dump my iPhone4 and get an HTC One M8 or the Z2 (contract up in April). Every subsequent update to OS7 made my phone CRAWL and many times I was fully prepared to toss it against the wall. Then Apple released that update a couple weeks back that supposedly had "performance improvements for iPhone4". I'm like, whatever and grab it. Well I gotta say its 100% better now haha. I'm not twiddling my thumbs waiting for it to open a text message anymore.

But still, iTunes drives me wild and I can't wait to break away.

My iPhone 4 is at the end of its deal, so I think I can upgrade anytime now. I'm not unhappy with my iPhone. I don't mind the small screen. Performance is okay and if I got to a 5s, it shouldn't be a problem at all. I've got a Galaxy Tab at home and I am just not crazy about Android - I like some stuff about it, but 9 times out of 10 I'll grab the 1st Gen iPad over the Galaxy Tab when I want to browse or check Twitter or whatever...so I guess I'll stick with Apple, unless I'm missing something important about Android?
