Anyone want to try get Japan to Olympic glory with me in the next version? Probably going to make a Canadian/Japanese player so I can play in the OHL!

We're three! I'll play in the ASL or other though, won't be making a dual citizen just in case... any tips to have the player actually play in international tournaments?

I find that my players usually won't participate even if they dont' participate in the playoffs. Eg. Trusty Patches during this run didn't miss the playoffs often, but when he did he just sat at home instead of helping the Netherlands haha

Rodrigo Ridic can only be classified as one thing and that is a complete winner. While he isn't a player that would put up a large amount of points, he is someone you need on your roster. He is versatile and can be counted on to provide some good two way play as a depth player. He can play up and down the line up. I'll have to admit, coming out of Croatia I was skeptical of what kind of development curve he would have. I wasn't sure he was a first round talent. But Florida saw something in his abilities. He did have some high scoring seasons in Europe. When he came over to North America, Florida was able to flip him for some assets to the Red Wings who were a power house who needed depth scoring. He immediately was able to come be called up and provide some depth scoring and be great at faceoffs for the club. The move to Detroit really kick started a career where he was that veteran contending teams wanted to add. Ridic has had a fantastic career pretty much winning everywhere he's gone. I'm sure he would have liked to score more points but he's a solid leader who was able to do the right things to be effective on championship winning teams.

Still putting up 90 point seasons. Crazy.

How old is that guy now? Bobby Orr trophy and the last standing Superstar lol

Reynolds has to be in the virtual "top 4" of hockey conversation no? Like, if a guy in real life had his career, that'd be close enough to Gretz level?

Although, I don't recall the whole series, but his retirement recap should be impressive as hell

Lost to his old team in the playoffs though, that’s gotta sting! I was hoping he’d stay a Cap for life (he was drafted there wasn’t he?).

His career retirement profile is gonna EPIC.
Yeah drafted by the Caps. Guess it is a little sad to know he wasn't a lifer. Sure he set a few Caps records to remember anyway haha.

Tenders the Hall of Famer! It definitely has a nice ring to it. Tenders was a fascinating one to track. It was hard to get a read on him out in the Slovak league. He was a goalie with lots of potential but he really struggled to be a consistent fixture for his team. He also wasn't the biggest of goalies at just six foot. How ever the Canadiens saw something that they liked and felt they could develop. They ended up taking him at pick #13 in the 2025 draft. Immediately I thought this was going to be a great fit, he was going to come in an be the next Carey Price for the franchise. Tenders did have some really good seasons in Montreal, notably in 2031/32 where he set a franchise record for wins! However, his play overall was just okay. His play wasn't ever enough to push the Canadiens to a deep run in the playoffs. That was kind of the M.O. of Tenders, decent regular season stats, but then no where to be found. Tenders also had stops in Vegas, Detroit and Quebec City. He finished 2 wins shy of 500 wins on his career and finished with a 0.916 SV%. I think Tenders was a goalie that could hold you over but was never going to be a guy to win you a cup. Never the less he still had a great career and was a staple on Team Slovakia! Congrats on a great career.
