Mr. Czechia has retired! It's been on hell of a career for Michal. I really enjoyed Michal mainly because I'm a huge leafs fan, so whenever a guy gets drafted to the Leafs I pay a little more attention. Also my goalie was there. Right from the beginning there was a lot of signs that Michal would be special but he was a little bit behind both his brothers. It took him longer to get up to Sparta Praha in the ESL. But when he did he really showed why he should have been up there for longer. He had 21 points in 20 games and that was all the Leafs needed to see to be convinced that he was the right fit for them. Now lets be honest, the Leafs are stacked on the right side, so when he came over he had some growing pains. But once Nylander moved on to another team, Michal really elevated his offensive game. He, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner were a dominant trio that went on two Stanley Cup finals and falling just short both times. Machajek is an extremely talented offensive player. Based on his career stats he can be viewed as a dynamic playmaking winger, but his goal scoring ability is so underrated. He had 706 goals while also putting up 1026 points. We are looking at one of the best all around offensive players of this generation. He was spectacular and had five 100 point seasons. I really think the only thing he would change is maybe having better luck and winning one of the Stanley Cups. Its a shame he wasn't considered for more individual awards as he had amazing seasons, but never the less this is still a great career for Michal!
