Also to answer the actual question...

Queen - We will rock you
Queen - We are the Champions
Queen - Another one bites the dust
Blur - Song 2
Europe - Final Countdown
Motley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Beastie Boys - Sabotage
The Prodigy - Firestarter
THe Prodigy - Invaders Must Die

There's a lot that should be arena anthems but yeah. I'll stick with these.

If you all think Gary Glitter is bad (and he is), Lostprophets' singer Ian Watkins is, arguably, worse.
I'm not even going to post any links to his offenses... they're that offensive.

Lots of stand up citizens on that list.
R.Kelly and Diddy certainly have had and still have their issues.

But that's not really the topic here. So, I'll stop now.

The Uncanny Valley
Tom Cochrane's Big Leagues was set to become his next big hit in the States until radio dj's realized it was about hockey and not baseball.

TBF, I believe this song started with the Chicago White Sox.

The Uncanny Valley

Pretty ubiquitous with sports playoffs in general, but it's great.

Like fan towels in hockey and similar fan celebrations (the white out, the sea of red), it also first became a big thing in that 1982 Vancouver run. The first time I heard Montreal sing it, it was after beating the Canucks and it was ironic. Hence why Hughson and Larscheid were saying, "shades of '82" in that first clip.
Are other sports doing this now too? I thought it was just the White Sox that one time.

suspect this latest thread on hockey songs won't last (or at least get a big warning stamped in the title)
