Bears have zero offense…where is CMM and Protas? Invisible at the AHL level does not make for a player at the NHL level…

They’ve both been good the whole playoffs. Bad games happen unfortunately.

Bears playing CV for the first time all season long and it was a stinker. If they find a way to make adjustments and bounce back to win Game 2, then home ice advantage goes to the Bears with the next 3 in Hershey.
Side Note: In the ECF Game 1 the Bears lost 5-1 to the Amerks, but bounced back in Game 2 winning 2-0 and won the series 4-2. CV is a much better team than the Amerks, but the Bears have shown a good resiliency in these playoffs. That was only their 4th loss in these playoffs.

Yep, they will need some coaching adjustments. Lopsided game…..blown off the ice. They were never a threat.

McMichael had a rush chance on the PP but that was mostly it. Protas, while productive, has seemed to botch a lot of plays due to poor hands. He had one feed to Lapierre that I recall but credit to CV for largely containing the Bears.
It's been much more of a structured team effort than a run thanks to amazing individual play. Put some chinks in their defense or goaltending and the forwards on paper aren't amazing. None of the vets are playing at extremely high levels offensively. Snively & Anas are second and third in scoring but I don't think they've played incredibly well shift-to-shift. I mean...Morelli is tied for the lead in goals at five. Depth, balance and checking is their recipe and has to continue to be. They've worked hard and been resilient but getting very timely contributions from a guy like Day out of nowhere has been huge. They need the best out of everyone and for players to step up and it wasn't close to that in G1. We'll see how they respond but on top of discipline and structure they'll need a lot more urgency and hunger to get interior.

Need a bounce back…NBCsports Washington again…I’d like CMM to do anything to make me believe he won’t be mediocre in the NHL next year….

LFG bears! We win this the series is back in our favor big time! Iorio back and Frank back. Would be amazing for Frank to exist again.
Find it odd that Frank goes from a healthy to the first line and Morelli goes from the 1st to the 4th..

Morelli is part of a great combo with Sutter and Beck. He's a good fit on that line and has been for a long stretch. They're rebuilding a dynamite 4th line that has helped carry us through the playoffs.
