Worst penalty shot call I've seen in my life, shepherd bailed us out then on the ensuing faceoff an immediate penalty call on the bears. I hate to sound like a cry baby but holy f*** are these refs bad. They finally scored in the 4th PP the refs gave them. Seems like the league wants the 1st year team to win.
2-0, can't come back from that against them and the refs. Probably cooked.

I am always the last person to complain about officiating, but this is terribly one sided. It is apparent that the league wants a Pacific Division team to win it all. Not saying it is all on the officials, we've been caught puck watching a bit too.
Also, has a team ever failed to score a goal in an entire best of seven series? I'd put some money on it happening, at this point.

I think you've got to play Zach the rest of the way. Can't blame Hunter for most of these goals, but CV clearly has his number.
This is a complete total joke. 8 power plays through 2 periods for CV? I've seen some poorly officiated games but this might be one of the worst I've ever watched, especially considering it's a finals game at the professional level. I've seen much much better in my beer league.

I think they played well early. Generated decent amount of chances but couldn't put one in. Then they gave up one and the wheels came off.
You can always hide behind the 'referees suck' excuse but you are never going to win a game with a 0 on the board.

Right but one would expect this to be at least competitive. They don’t even look like they are in the same league at the moment.They are playing the best team in the AHL this year ..

If you go back a bit in this thread there is a good post summarizing Seattle's AHL team roster. But yes they did go heavy on good AHL vets.
So what happens tonight? I'm not overly optimistic as the Bears have lost 3 of 7 home games in the playoffs. If CV scores first tonight, I think the series is over. Hope I'm wrong.
Just woke up from a nap and about to hit the road...tickets for 3, 4 & 5. Hope I can wake up at 4am.for work tomorrow! Need an elimination effort tonight. Need to get an early goal to drop and can't look back. If we go down early I fear doom and gloom may set in.

It has been killing me, so I looked it up. Can't find AHL stats that easy, but in the NHL, besides that Flyers series, the lowest number of goals scored in a best of 7 is 1. Minnesota scored one goal while being swept by Anaheim in the 2003 West Finals. Shut out in the first three & lost game 4 by a score of 2-1. We've got to beat that, if nothing else. I'll be optimistic and say I've got two games left this season (4 &5).
