Would be nice if the Caps could stream the Hershey Bears playoffs games this year with the big boys out.

If you have a smart enabled tv(or another device) the AHLTV app is literally only like 20 bucks for the rest of the bears games this season. I buy the bears only package every year for like 60 bucks and get the whole season and playoffs.

Lapierre booted for a hit from behind. Bears going to a 5 minute kill tied 2-2 with under 10 minutes left..

He's had a couple steals off of good back checks. Definitely a trigger happy start with the puck though, lol.

McMichael called for unsportsmanlike while on the bench? What the **** do you have to say for the stripes to call you for a penalty on the bench? Checkers score almost immediately on the 5 on 3 to take a lead. Garbage officiating per usual.

Checkers scored a second pp goal with a half minute left on the 5 minute major but Hershey gets one back on the powerplay a few minutes later. 4-3 Checkers with 3:14 left.

Why are Sutter and Gersich out with the net empty??

They can't finish the job and lose 4-3 in regulation. They were in the Checkers' zone for most of the last two minutes of the game but couldn't score or get a whistle for a change. They were running with Sutter, Gersich, Trineyev, Pilon, Napravnik, and Nardella with the net empty. No chance to get Mikey, Anas or Vecchione on the ice. That said I won't come down on them hard like I usually do. Lapierre deserved his 5+10 but they got kinda boned by the call on McMichael to put them down two men. Considering they have Snively, Borgstrom, and Beck in DC and Sgarbossa and Frank (and McIlrath) out, they played a pretty decent game and didn't roll over when they went down by two goals late in the third.

He, Snively, and Malenstyn were just reassigned to the Bears this morning. Protas was reassigned on paper to Hershey on clear day so he's good to go for the playoffs.

5-1 L. Kinda ugly. Not for a lack of chances and shots, though a lot of them were kept to the perimeter and unscreened. Schneider did rob Vecchione on a 3-on-1 when the score was still 3-1, which was definitely Hershey's best chance of the game. Bailed after 4-1, but beyond what I said a couple sentences ago, Schneider made stops and Fucale didn't. Zach was stellar last Saturday against Charlotte but I'd definitely be rolling with Shep to start the playoffs. If pregame reports are any indication, tomorrow's lineup will look much different and closer to the playoff lineup anyway, so I'm not going to put a tremendous amount of stock into the last couple games.

By some miracle, the Bears are still in first place as Springfield pummeled Providence 7-2 tonight. Providence has a game in hand though, so even if Hershey wins tomorrow, they'll fall to second if Providence wins out. Still have the first round bye regardless. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about the long layover between games (could be close to two weeks before Hershey's first playoff game)!
