They can't finish the job and lose 4-3 in regulation. They were in the Checkers' zone for most of the last two minutes of the game but couldn't score or get a whistle for a change. They were running with Sutter, Gersich, Trineyev, Pilon, Napravnik, and Nardella with the net empty. No chance to get Mikey, Anas or Vecchione on the ice. That said I won't come down on them hard like I usually do. Lapierre deserved his 5+10 but they got kinda boned by the call on McMichael to put them down two men. Considering they have Snively, Borgstrom, and Beck in DC and Sgarbossa and Frank (and McIlrath) out, they played a pretty decent game and didn't roll over when they went down by two goals late in the third.
