isnt that faster than any nhl'er ever?
Yeah, but there's also been adjustments to where pylons/nets are put over the years and I wouldn't necessarily trust the timer folks to be Olympic-level when it comes to comparing scores across different events. He's definitely fast, but I wouldn't put a ton of stock in the relative times.

I kind of want to call him up and see what he has. He’s scoring a lot, and has wheels like why not give him a look with the big boys.

For those who have watched him in AHL this season, what can you tell me about this Frank guy?

Clearly he has speed. What else? What’s his nhl upside?

Be Frank:)

Thanks

I have watched a fair number of games but others have watched more and can add. But Right shot. Snipper. Clearly fast (faster than I thought). Solid on PP. Playing with Vets Sgarbossa and Vech helps, but he has been really consistent and this after leading NCAA in goals last year.

To me he is an upgraded right handed Snively. Needs to be deployed as middle-6 speedster who can score. Probably not a fit on the fourth line so I worry about how he will fit into the Caps lineup. He is also like 25 so he needs to make a jump now which also concerns me on if he will sign with the Caps. He’ll get offers for one-way.

Back in the win column, 2-1 over Hartford.

Shep stole this one. They were outshot 34-20 (it was 24-8 at one point midway through the second)

Rybinski had a nice shorty

Offense needs to start picking it up again.
Yeah… not sure what is up with their offense. Frank was out sick today, but still been a few games of low offensive output.

I really like the 4th line we are running right now: Malenstyn-Sutter-Rybinski. All three could have a shot at 4th line in WSH next year (Sutter would be RW).

Didn't listen to Nelson's presser last night but (per a Bears fan FB group) he apparently said the Bears' bus broke down on the way to Utica on Friday (I guess long enough that lunch had to be brought to them on the bus?) and they didn't get to the arena until 6 pm for the 7 pm game Friday night.

Yep, the bus did break down and they didn't get to the rink in Utica until about an hour before puck drop. They also have a bunch of players playing with a virus or flu bug circulating within the team. Regardless of that, they need to get back to 'team' play. There's been more players trying to do their own thing along with passing up shots when they're in the high slot.

Another game with no more than two goals. Missing Snively hurts (and to a lesser extent Protas) but they were carrying on fine without them for a while. And most of their absences tonight were on defense.

Definitely don't have the highest hopes for the weekend in Charlotte.
