Panarin needs to be gone at all costs. I would say Kreider too but the organization is in love with a power play specialist feeding him 1st line minutes while he should have been on the third line.

Panarin needs to go. Not up for discussion
can this fake news die.

this narrative keeps getting promulgated and it's just simply not true.

Hypothetically, Panarin waives his NMC... where is he getting traded to? Please find me a good match, to where he would waive and where we would get a return.

The elite gamechaning player is still there. It's up to the coaching staff to get it out of him... The News Flash/Reality check is the country club 'do as you will' attitude needs to be squashed.

Anaheim

you think he'd waive to go to Anaheim?

and Anaheim would give up a MacTavish type? I just dont see it. It's wishful thinking.
Zegras.

He's going to want to come here as soon as his contract status allows. There's not enough ice time for him, McTavish, and Bedard

I'm gonna say it. Panarin is Kovalchuk 2.0 and will probably bounce the moment he is asked to do something for the team rather than pandering to his needs. The only reason he hasn't bounced to Russia is the shit going down over there.

The fact that he is using his second language when his English is fine to dodge answering post game conferences is all you need to know about his accountability.

And this confirms my comments on radio silence of Lafrenniere’s suckage .
If you think Trouba is worried about Laf's performance and not chuckle head Panarin or emo Ziba and Kreider. The kids aren't the leaders on this team.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se. All is well, nothing to see here.

Let me throw out another theory on Panarin. He's never really been known to be a locker room issue. Happy go lucky, hustled, etc.

He already wasn't happy Drury has him on double secret probation after last year's playoffs. Panarin says "ok, go get me Patrick Kane and I'll play better". No secret they got along in Chicago. Drury said no because he doesn't have the cap space. Panarin kicks and screams like a toddler behind the scenes. Reaves gets abruptly dealt to make more space for the deadline which coincides with a massive losing streak and overall stretch of poor play. Drury wants to get rid of the headache but can't because of his NMC.

Things are just starting and are going to get really interesting...
I think you’re looking to deep tbh

The Sather Rangers love themselves a name and there aren’t many bigger than Patrick Kane.

Drury is just an extension of Sather.

Only Ranger fans could talk themselves into not wanting one of the best players in the world on their team for “reasons” lol

I hope if you say it enough times you can will it into existence, but why would he leave sunny SoCal without a shred of media pressure on him to come back here to this shit show? I don't see it.

Please compare Mackinnon's comments about tired of losing and then going on a campaign that ended up with a cup with Panarin's comments and performance this year. Panarin has already slipped back into his lazy unforced errors and zero back checking. He overextends his shifts because he floats around and that's the example the kids see without any accountability. Why should they play better? So they can get scratched in the biggest game of the year?

This team probably needs a big shakeup but from a trade perspective, it’s incredibly difficult to imagine anything coming to fruition. All the vets have NMC’s, the kids are all bottomed out in value, so who do you trade that actually makes a difference? I don’t see it

Trading Laf /Kakko would be a statement. Yeah valué is low but still enough to get a solid player. As usual cap is an issue

Ig we are at the point where we gotta hope the Rangers get their shit togeather, or dont and one of the NMC players ask to be traded

New coach should be next step

Quinn and Gallant couldnt change that country club attitude. The inmates run the asylum, and who do you think that is? It’s Kreider, it’s Panarin, it’s zibanejad. It’s the players who make up most of the salary on this team.

It ain’t the kids playing 10 minutes that’s for sure as shit. You don’t want to make changes but then say it’s because of the country club attitude. Like who do you think is responsible for that?

Doesn’t matter what coach comes in here, you need to get rid of the inmates first.

This is like high school coach talk. Come on- these are professional athletes getting paid millions a year who are men. Do you really think they give 2 craps what their coach thinks about them when most will play for 4 or more coaches during a 10 year career?? Come one- they care about what their teammates think, their on ice production and team record( most of the time) and competing for a championship. This nostalgic view of “let’s bag skate them into doing better” is a laughable take. It’s why so many people keep calling for it but literally NHL coaches almost never use that tactic. It’s not gonna happen.

It’s also why Trouba did what he did out there last night. He knows he has to get this group going. It’s not on the coach.

Of course it's on the coach!

Giving minutes to players who don't deserve it, not calling time outs when this team is stuck in mud, no accountability towards players, which is why you still had this fool trying to spin some positives after a loss.

Trouba has been playing like shit, but as a captain, he did what he had to do to wake this team up, and there is a reason why he was pissed off at his bench.

This attitude from the players, the funk that we're in, why nothing is gelling, a little bit ridiculous to say that's on our captain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the lackadaisical vets played the final 4 minutes of the game.

Quinn and Gallant couldnt change that country club attitude. The inmates run the asylum, and who do you think that is? It’s Kreider, it’s Panarin, it’s zibanejad. It’s the players who make up most of the salary on this team.

or you get a warden to squash it. Torts was the last one we had. It's what this team needs.

Quinn and Gallant allowed the players to get away with too much over time. That can't happen.

Hes not available but if he was, the rangers desperately need a coach like torts to chew them out and ride them hard. Some will now give the “LOL torts”, but its the truth and you know it

Torts, AV, Quinn, and Gallant would have all benched and then healthy scratched him if he scored a Michigan goal. Eakins however gives him way too much rope, those guys would give him none. That’s one of the reasons Anaheim is sitting dead last in the league. Have to give young players some rope but not too much. Some kind of accountability. Gallant gives his vets too much rope on the other hand.

I give the LOL Torts because he only knows one way to play, and he doesn't adjust for the players he has. He doesn't have much of a system, and I don't see him developing any of the kids to realize their offensive potential.

Yes, this team needs discipline, but if it's discipline in favor of an inferior structure/system, I'll pass.

Plus he's not leaving the Flyers. He's the perfect coach for that dinosaur organization short of them putting Gritty behind the bench.

They have tv-timeouts all the time and that doesn´t seem to do the trick. One of the recent games Gallant was giving the players an earful but they are still not responding.

Not a statement, a DISASTER! Really bad showing for any future players we try to draft.

The inmates have been running the asylum since at least the beginning of Quinn's tenure.

Gallant's big selling point when we were looking for Quinn's replacement was that "players loved him and would skate through a brick wall for him".

If that was true on the other teams Gallant has coached but it's not true here, is it the coach or is it the players/team culture?
