jets have the 8th pick, we've been looking for centers for years, it's very likely they already checked the market to see what they could get lol, they are now willing to move off of helle for one

There is no chance Florida values the pick over Lundell. Their objective is to win now. That pick is at least 1 year out, more likely 2 from playing NHL games.

Jets add as needed, but we need to shore up our 2C hole and add some goodies to our cupboards…and this is our best chance to do that

Ray hints/suggests trade might not be possible and maybe need to rebuild and draft a 2c, which would save management from itself haha. Hopefully they just rebuild properly over the next few seasons and then develop properly

Not gonna be happy if we trade a top-3 goalie in the league for a 2nd-liner

Winnipeg should just trade other assets for a 2nd line center and another d-man. That 8th overall pick could help with that. If you're trading Helley, it's not going to make the team better.

Valuable tradable assets the Jets have, not including the core players:

- 2026 8th oa

- 2027 1st rd pick

- Cole P

None of the above pieces alone get a good 2c with term and thats not old as dirt

- Helle (he's a core player of course but strong rumours he's about to be moved), he potentially could get a good 2c in return with term and younger side. Failing a good younger 2c available, I wonder if chevy takes/looks for the opportunity to get a physical top pairing RHD (who can skate) with term and not as old as dirt.
