They employ different systems. I don't get the Tortorella comparisons at all.
It's rooted in the fact that both teams offenses vanish without a trace once the calender flips to April.

I'm worried about the treatment of our players, youngins especially
Look at Boston and how they ease young guys into the lineup with limited minutes.
Not look at the Oilers where the young'uns are running a directionless ship.
Overall, I'd rather see a coach who is cautious with the minutes given to rookies, and makes sure they are sheltered and learn proper habits on the ice...not rewarding guys with tons of minutes based on their draft position.
Correct. Kreider should not be getting 25 minutes a game, no matter what this board says

He also shoudn'y get just 3.
RE: Kassian, the guy lacks motivation and is inconsistent as hell. He didn't really earn his ice time most of the year. Schroeder was decent, but he put in a much more consistent effort.

Who's talking about 25 minutes? 15 to 20 minutes would be a good amount for him to show what he's capable of.
If Pit fires Bylsma, I'd be all over him.

Yea? You'd want the guy who got a grand total of 2 goals in 13 and a half periods (4 and a half games) out of a lineup that included Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow, Kris Letang, and a **** ton of better depth players than the Rangers? Yea, that sounds exactly like a guy who has a clue how to 'fix' the Rangers' offense!
Pure speculation which was entirely based on Brooks' piece of crap article. Doesn't mean it isn't true; but the quality of this "journalism" is just awful. Nothing articles mean nothing.
If we do end up with Bylsma though -- barf.
Vigneault does play a good defensive system. It's the offense I'm worried about.
they had a drop-off offensively this year...but the 3 prior years.
09-10: vancouver was 2nd in GFA, 6th on pp
10-11: vancouver was 1st in GFA, 1st on pp
11-12: vancouver was 5th in GFA, 4th on pp
i don't watch them all the time to know his system but i don't think the sedins are THAT good

If you're going to base your argument off of a total of "4 and a half games" you would be better off not making an argument at all.
it doesn't appear there's a clearcut favorite for the job...messier begins to look like a more appealing choice.

There are far worse choices than Bylsma.
Does anyone else hate Dave Maloney ? He is a shill for garden worse hen anyone I have ever seen
