deangelo really does have that potential to be elite, and whereas at the start of the year it was mostly a hope of mine cause i like his talent and game, now its really starting to become a possibility.

started off season strong, started to struggle. got some DQ tough love (credit where credit is due) and this is the best hockey hes played professionally.

miller is straight up nasty. very excited about him. 100% got top pair potential, atleast becomes top 4d imo.

then comeskeane and lundkvist. to me theyre the #3/4 potentials we have.

lindgren and rykov for me are just #4/5 which is not a bad thing, eveey team needs them.

hajek im not quite sure about. could be 4, could be 6. very tough player to evaluate.

anyways, with all this, i wouldnt be shocked to see skjei traded in 4-6 years, possibly around when we’re contedning in a package for a high end d should we not draft byram, or for a high end forward if we do draft byram on top of all our prospects.

dont forget is larsson got hall, what can skjei get? hes better than larsson, and its not all that close.

According to Corsica, his 5v5 PDO was 103.54. It is what it is. Tends to regress towards the mean. I'm not criticizing the kid--it's just if he plays to that PDO all season he'll pick up at least a couple "lucky" points, so you shouldn't sweat it.
But having a relatively high PDO doesn’t necessary mean that he’s getting the points on the goals. It means that there shouldn’t be that many goals when he’s on the ice, but says nothing about his points. In other words, a player can have a high PDO, yet still be unlucky with not getting the points on the goals.

Awesome photo. Most pros as competitive and passionate as Lundqvist would have abandoned ship by now.

Pisses me off that we wasted his career by expecting him to win with mediocre teams.

It looks like Shesty will have more support than him..... Hopefully...

Would rather beat the teams way ahead of us instead of a team right next to us in the standings but whatever.
Zucc for sure upping his trade value. Will he bring Nash value or Grabs value??? probably something in between.

Had to miss this game, how did they look? I see Kreider scored as did Mika. Cool!

Looked pretty good especially on the d side for most part albeit Chicago isn't a very good team.
If you get a chance check out Chytil's goal. Its on nhl.com or in the prospects section.

Still waiting for that first Chytil multi point game
They will come. I'm sure he will get one or two this year especially if he is given more pp time. If he ends up with 12-15 goals and 30 points I will be extremely happy for sure.

Beast. Knew he could do it. I say three more years of good Henrik. I think he’s got it in him, he looks like a freakin’ kid out there post mid - season of his 15th year in the league. What an impressive human.
Truly hoping he gets at least one more crack at the NHL playoffs in 2020-2021 (assuming next year we won't be good enough or at least viewed as more than just a middle of the pack team).

I think a lot of our dreams here is a Shest (or if one of our other prospects surprises/goes through a growth spurt in their development) Hank tag team in that season. Would love a scenario like that, the legend ushering in the new generation would be beyond cool and would be a huge boost to this developing team.

Feel bad for Hank he had a good game but that goal at the end hurts his season SV%. Went from .923 in the night to .881. Bad luck there.

Honestly, who gives a hoot about his save percentage this year? If I had to guess what it was right now I'd probably be off by at least 10 points

Also haven’t seen a Ranger score a goal like that since Gabs. He is a rookie, incredible patience and just magical.

I’d like to see Chytil keep working on being aggressive. The kid has so much raw talent but either tries too do too much or too little.

He actually lost the puck for a moment on his goal but he maintained his play, kept the puck, drove to the net and placed a perfect shot.

He seems like the kind of player that Nash like was with his goals. He’s not a shooter or Sniper. His goals will come off the rush and from down low.

Zibby is the only player on our roster who has a blistering shot. When he’s near that left circle he’ll challenge a goalie with his shot — knowing that the goalie is fully expecting the shot. Reminds me of guys like AO and Hull. He just doesn’t do it enough imo.

We need a true goal scorer imo. A natural shooter who’s not afraid to try and beat a goalie clean. Or an exceptional playmaker like what I think Hughes will be. Someone special enough to elevate good players around him into great players.
