Disagree. He is just as much the problem. Bring in players so that he can ruin them too? Or play favorites so the new guy can't succeed?

Koivu wasn't traded...he wasn't re-signed.

Bob Gainey was THE worst GM in the last 20 years because he let 11 free agents walk without getting a thing for them. Asset Management is the number one responsibility of a GM an Gainey killed us on this.

Never mind the

1. Gomez trade that made us get smaller after the Koivu era
2. Trading McDo and Higgins (anyone check his stats lately)
3. refusing to negotiate during the season.

one of my favorite players of all time, but the worst GM in recent memory.
