With Carpenter called up, Henriksson moves up to center the first line and Whelan replaces him on the 3rd line. I thought they might move Elson to center and move Trivigno up to the first line. Domingue in goal. Rest of the lineup stays the same.

Per AHL app, Pack forced OT but Lettieri wins it at 26 seconds for PBruins

Gutsy, decent performance, at least in the 2nd half of the game -- only caught the latter half. Bummer they only got one point. Rempe fight was an eye opener. Not sure if the guy he fought fights much because it sure looked like a mismatch.

James Greenway of course is the brother of Jordan. Every time we play Minnesota Jordan tries to get in the goalies grill. He has a lot of size and strength and he likes to jam the net and quite often bangs into goaltenders. He's not really a fighter per se but then he has gotten the attention of some of the real tough guys in the NHL and sometimes has had to pay. Basically he's an asshole to play against but it can be great if he's on your team.....keeping in mind he's pretty much a bottom 6'er because the offense never really has come around to justify him as a top two line player.

His brother James is pretty big too. Hasn't shown enough to make it to the NHL and at this point it's possible that some day he'll get some NHL games somewhere but he'll probably never stick. I don't know what he did to get in a fight with Rempe but Matthew so far has been fighting quite a bit. 5 goals and 8 points for a first year pro in the AHL isn't bad for half a seasons work. More than I expected anyway.

If they put it up , I’ll paste it here.

HockeyFights has 'placeholder' page for it, but NO Content yet

FYI "James" is also/better known as JD Greenway, had a winding path,
transferred between NCAA Wisconsin (pre-K'Andre) to Maine, with year off between,
finally graduated in '21 and was expected to become Aug.15th UFA so Leafs sent his rights to Bruins late July
Even then, he only signed an AHL deal (2 year) w Bruins Providence affiliate

today, trying to understand San Jose<>Detroit trade
(SJS traded a young NoDak product F, w size, and team control, and 50 NHL games last season
for a small 30-year old C w 2 career NHL games)
these indicate this had to be to help the AHL team
but that team was 5 under .500 and in 7th place

so checked this season's AHL playoff qualifications
seems that 7 teams will qualify in that division
AND in the Pack's division (Atlantic), 6 teams will qualify

SO the Pack are right back in the playoff race, while by points in 7th place,
but same as 6th place Bridgeport at 1 game over .500, Pack with a slightly Higher Pts/GP
and only 2 points behind 5th place Lehigh Valley in same GP

and they have only recently begun consistently collecting points

"The playoff field will include the top six finishers in the eight-team Atlantic Division,
the top five finishers each in the seven-team North and Central Divisions,
and the top seven teams in the 10-team Pacific Division"

Pack loose 5-3 giving up a PP goal with < 4 minutes left and then an empty netter.
Emberson and Skinner the scratches, Skinner's 3rd since being recalled. Gettinger back in with Whelan replacing Tardif and DiGiacinto. Gettinger, Whelan and Rempe start as the fourth line.

Terrible game for Reuschhoff with two turnovers leading to goals. He is dropped to the 4th line replacing Whelan.

Jones let a Bruin player walk around himnear the end of the first period but fortunately not resulting in a goal. I think Eco's Bones said a few posts back that he thought Jones would be traded. I think he's right. The offense is good but the defense...

On the Pack second goal on the PP Pajuniemi takes three shots in a row missing the net and then gets a fourth chance that Cuylle tips in. Pack take the lead in the 3rd when Domingue tries to hit Trivigno on a Bruin change. Trivigno gets to the puck first and when two Bruins go to him he hits Henriksson streaking into the slot for a goal.

Trivigno is playing RW on a line with Rydahl and Henriksson. I think it's time for Bobby to replace Reuschhoff on the line with Carpenter and Elson.

Two periods down and Pack up 2-0 over Rochester. Very enjoyable game so far.
Tardif and DiGiacinto back in the lineup both playing on Rempe’s wing. DiGiacinto with the 2nd goal. He walked in while Rempe was in front screening the goalie.
1st goal was a PP scored by Elson.
Other lines Rydahl with Hendriksson and Trivigno. Carpenter with Gettinger and Elson. Fritz, Cuylle and Pajuniemi.
(believe that’s right)
Dylan Garand in goal.
Go PACK!!!

Wolf Pack won 4-1. Lauri Pajuniemi scored a PP goal. Garand lost the shutout with just about a minute left in the game. Zach Giuttari with his first goal of the season into an empty net.
For me this was the Wolf Pack’s best effort of the season. Controlled play for almost the whole game.
Here are the game highlights:

Couple of quick notes.

Johnny Brodzinski clears waivers and could be back in the lineup for today's game. I'm concerned that the coach will play him and take away time from the kids. Tim Gettinger came back Friday and started on the fourth line but by yesterday's game he was on the first line with Carpenter and Elson. I agree we need a mix of veterans and prospects but playing all the veterans on the top line and top PP is taking away time from the prospects.

Gettinger was on the first line replacing Reuschhoff who made two bad turnovers leading to goals Friday night. He was dropped to the fourth line Friday night and scratched last night. I've been a fan of Reuschhoff and there have been times in each of his three years where it looked like he might be taking off but he hasn't been able to maintain that productivity. I've been critical of the coaches for not giving him a chance but he had that chance this year and just hasn't been productive enough.

Skinner has been back for four games and scratched in each game. Blake Hillman has played the last two games. Why?

I did see that on Pajuniemi's power play goal Trivigno was on the PP. Trivigno has been one of the most productive forwards. He needs to be given more opportunity.

Pack are up 2-1 in the second. Brodzinksi and Emberson with the goals. Trivigno with two assists.

Old friend Lettieri has the P-Bruins goal.
The first Letteri goal was short-handed. It looked like a set play. Bruins Centre McLaughlin won the draw back to the point in Hartford’s end, and Vinnie Letteri goes behind the Wolf Pack net and comes out on the other side. The Providence defenseman passes the puck to Letteri and it’s a simple tap in. It happened so fast that Matt Robertson and Hillman didn’t even move.
