he takes a lot of these very aggressive penalties. Maybe not a lot but they're basically all of his penalties. Multiple roughings and crosschecks. he has a bit of a temper.

in principal I don't totally mind it but this was a really bad time to take that penalty and the Pack have the worst PK in the league.
i'm just not interested in the Packs win loss record. I only care about Chmelar's development. I think he and Sykora are the only non-Rempe players on the pack who could contribute at the NHL level and I'm not really a Rempe guy.in principal I don't totally mind it but this was a really bad time to take that penalty and the Pack have the worst PK in the league.
add Roob to that. he’s got stuffi'm just not interested in the Packs win loss record. I only care about Chmelar's development. I think he and Sykora are the only non-Rempe players on the pack who could contribute at the NHL level and I'm not really a Rempe guy.
make the caseYou all are sleeping on BMB and he'll eventually force his way into the picture, but I understand why he's overlooked now.
Once he gets a full season or maybe two under his belt, he'll show that a) he is an excellent defensive forward and b) he has enough skill and thinks the game at an advanced enough level to contribute offensively in a bottom six role. I think what he's shown playing out of position and on the fourth line in very limited time is quite encouraging. He's not a star by any means but I definitely see a potential NHL contributor.make the case
Chmelar just put three different defenders on their wallets in one shift. I know I sound like a massive tire pumper but I'm just really fascinated by him lol
Have the love the fact that line is two 20 year olds with a 21 year old. All NYR drafted legit prospectsBMB has been moved to Roob and Chmelar's line
Chmelar is a rugged player.
For the last 5 minutes of this period Hartford should play without the puck. Just dump it in a crash and bang.
Everyone needs to finish their checks.
I don’t know if he fights.Does he fight, is he a pest? Rangers can use some agitators. Rangers have players that take lazy penalties so I guess the physical penalties are an upgrade especially when they are sticking up for themselves or a teammate.
He has never fought in his pro career but he is very aggressive and I feel like he'd be willing in a pinch.Does he fight, is he a pest? Rangers can use some agitators. Chmelar doesn’t need to fight. Hartford has Rempe, Harpur and Mackey. It’s already a tough lineup. If he happens to get jumped after a big hit, he looks to have the size and strength to handle himself.
I always see, “does he fight?” It’s pretty easy to look up for any player in question
Edstrom wasn't a fighter but he plays rough game and has shown a willingness to fight when necessary. I think Chmelar will fit in the same category.I don’t mean as in enforcer, I meant as is he willing to defend a teammate or just will he just Mika away to the bench. Last thing the Rangers need is big guys that play small or pretend to be big but cant fight out of a paper bag.
At the beginning of the year Roobroeck and BMB were on the fourth line. Roobroeck has now been moved up and BMB should be as well. I don't understand why he would be kept on the fourth line playing left wing. It's time to move him up and play with better players. I am excited by the prospect of a Roobroeck-Chmelar-BMB line although as the year goes on I would like to see BMB play center. With Roobroeck, BMB, Laba and Boulliard, the Rangers have some decent center prospects that we might see with the big club in 2-3 years.Have the love the fact that line is two 20 year olds with a 21 year old. Yes. I am interested to see how the young guys are playing at the end of the year.i'm just not interested in the Packs win loss record. I only care about Chmelar's development. When I've watched the defensive mistakes have more often than not, except for Robertson, been poor forward coverage rather than defensive mistakes. Ruhwedel is a pro and Scanlin, Mackay and Fitzgerald all are solid AHL defensemen. The biggest issue is that none are great offensively and now with Mancini with the Rangers there is no one to run the power play. It's not surprising that the PP is near the bottom of the league.Ruhwedel has been a big help to this team. They direly needed defensive help.
But here's the problem with that play. It starts because Rempe takes an undisciplined boarding penalty, the type of penalty he needs to stop taking if he wants the coaches to trust him and be in more than 5 minutes a game.Good tilt? For one side for sure. Rempe maybe went 70% extortion there
