Sykora's tenacious style of game wouldn't be a bad thing for the Rangers if they need to add that style of game on the Rangers

It's been nice to see not only a good team in Hartford but guys like Othmann/Sykora/Berard/Edstrom all having stretches where they have contributed.

He definitely plays like Callahan did. Maybe doesnt get as many hits a game but has a motor that doesn’t stop when he’s on the ice and relentless on the forecheck. Defensively similar. He probably doesnt peak as high as Cally did offensively though.

He's still incredibly young and honestly a little ahead of schedule.

I think he gets the full year in the AHL.

In a perfect world for next season, the additional cap space goes to giving Gustafson a contract, Kakko gets a very modest one year deal, and Othmann/Edstrom replace Wheeler/Pitlick with Sykora the first call up.

Man, that goal by Othmann, such patience. All of his goals at this level have looked great to me. A lot to be excited about.

They keep saying Othmann is more comfortable on LW. Vince. All of his goals except for maybe 1 were scored from the right side. Even in junior, Othmann scored from the right side of the ice. He makes the plays on the right side. Lafreniere is making those plays. Once the players enter the offensive zone, there is no left wing or right wing. The Rangers need more rough and tumble players in their lineup.

Bonino is also on a one year deal. That is at least three open forward spots.
By Hartford’s season end Drury & company will have a clearer picture on which Wolf Pack players can potentially fill everyday roster spots on the big club.

I'm just messing around more than anything. Although I am not surprised Othmann has picked it up, his point totals a couple weeks ago were not really indicative of his overall play.

Same here. I just hope that it doesn’t cause Chosen turning into Othmann’s “serial hater” because of a little harmless fun we’re having at his expense.
